Sunset I: It's getting dark.

Set in RTTE, the part where Johann betrays Viggo. I tried to write an alternate reality, where Viggo never asked for Hiccup's help. Hiccstrid got ambushed on this one. Subscribe to the people who made a cover of the ambient music.

Hiccup has been busy. Everyone has been busy. It's a race after all, whoever gets to the king of dragons first, wins. Hiccup has been particularly preoccupied, he's been designing plans, fiddling with the dragon eye, and working on his flight suit. 

"Argh!", Astrid huffs as she throws her axe on the target, right at the middle. Astrid hadn't seen much of Hiccup these past few days. She knows that he's busy and worried because of everything that's happening, but even she knows that he should at least rest a bit. He should spend just a bit more time relaxing, resting... maybe relax with her. Just spare a few minutes to watch the sunset by the beach or have a refreshing race around the edge with her. Okay, fine, she misses him. How couldn't she? 

'You know what? I'll just make the first move. I usually do anyways. He probably needs-no... definitely needs a break.', Astrid thought to herself, thinking about spending the afternoon with Hiccup. Obviously she's more concerned with his well-being... but there's nothing wrong if she includes herself in tending to his health.

Astrid picked up her axe, and went to Hiccup's hut. Of course, just as she suspected, Hiccup's still working. 

"Hey", Astrid greeted her betrothed. "Hmm? Hey! What brings you here, m'lady?", Hiccup looked up from his desk, and replied to the gorgeous blonde in front of him.
"Well, I know you're busy and all... I'm worried that you're pushing yourself too hard. You need a break, I hardly see you come out of here. It's been days.", Astrid said as she put a hand on his shoulder.

'No Astrid! We need to be prepared! There's a lot going on, I don't need to rest. What I need to do is make plans to stop Johann, Viggo, and the dragon flyers!' is what Astrid is expecting to hear from Hiccup.

"...Yeah, you're right. I-I actually need a breather." "No Hiccup! You need to rest-wait, what? Did you... agree with me?", Astrid was shocked when Hiccup admitted that he needed to rest. Hiccup chuckled and nodded at Astrid's question.

"Thor knows I need to relax, I kinda wanna go on a flight.", Hiccup says as he stretched his arms and back from sitting all day. Hiccup then looked outside, "The sunset's beautiful, wanna join me?"

Astrid just smirked, and Hiccup knew what that meant. "Let me go get Stormfly.", Astrid, said as she turned on her heel. "Actually... you wanna ride Toothless together? For old time's sake?", Hiccup reached out an arm to stop Astrid.

Astrid looked back at him, thinking it over. Stormfly is already at the stables. She does wanna ride with him one more time. "Sure... why not? It has been three years.", Astrid's eyes fluttered a bit saying this, which made Hiccup's heart skip a beat. 

It's been exactly three years since the first time Hiccup and Astrid flew on Toothless. Astrid almost finding out Hiccup's secret, Astrid actually finding out what his secret was anyway, Hiccup trying to convince Astrid, Toothless scaring the yakdung out of Astrid, flying to the nest of the Red Death, and of course, Astrid and Hiccup's amazing first flight. Hiccup considered that as their first date.

Hiccup saddled up, "You know what, m'lady? Can I ask you for just a little favor?", Hiccup sheepishly asking Astrid. He was so cute, Astrid just blushed a bit at his face.
"Of course, anything."

"Can you... turn around?", Hiccup gestured his finger in a circular motion at Astrid. She raised an eyebrow at Hiccup's request. She did say 'anything', so she just shrugged and turned around. Astrid wonders what Hiccup's planning. What surprise is he gonna do now?
