Lily's POV:
As I listened to Roger speaking it was as if all the stress and bad thoughts that I had recently fell of my shoulders.
I felt like flying. So light.
I looked at Roger but saw him still looking at his feet.
He looked like a broken man.
Like someone who I never met before and yet like someone who I could trust with my life.

Somehow a glimpse of sorrow appeared in my eyes as I saw him standing there, but right when I wanted to open my mouth to say something I remembered what he did. I remembered how much he hurt me, how he broke me and pushed me away. How he showed me his true side.
He could be so cold and yet so sweet.

Roger really wasn't anything I wanted now. And yet, I missed him.
If we would've ended it for good and things would have been easier so many things wouldn't have been in the way.
We might be friends. I would still go to his concerts.
I would bring Kelly over and they could spend as much time as they wanted together.
But it wasn't that way, because sometimes life doesn't work like this.
Sometimes you need to go the long, hard way to realise what could've been and what isn't happening now.
And with a bit of luck it will make you stronger and prepare you for all the things that are yet to come.
This is what I told myself. All the time since I was 15.
My past wasn't really the nicest.
Years and years of getting bullied so badly, not feeling like I was enough and more, until I found my happy place and my true self.

But now this wasn't about finding myself or getting rid of bullies. It was about Kelly.
If I could get a bit closer to Roger again, on a friendly level then it would make things way easier.

'Roger, we need to talk.' I said as we stepped out of the elevator and were walking to Ginas Office.
I didn't care what he said, well I did but right now Kelly was my priority.
'Ok we can do that next Friday when I pick her up here.' He said, but I stopped him.
'No. It's important. Do you have time after this?' I asked, but he shook his head and walked into Ginas office.
