Chapter 3

Skeppy's POV-

    As I was bearly entering the woods I began to have a huge headache that just wouldn't leave, so I grabbed water from my bottle and drank some to make me feel a bit better after a few minutes passed by I heard shuffling and movement behind me and since I'm very 'not' afraid of the woods AT ALL! I turned back to see a shaking Bad who kept mumbling nonsense which I knew by then he was having a nightmare. I pulled back on the horse making a stop and turned to check on Bad, when I saw him he had tears streaming down his face shaking violently, I got up from where I sat and went next to him "Bad, Bad wake up" I say trying to wake him up from his nightmare "Bad, Bad" I said a bit louder as I shook him slightly to make him wake up "Bad, Bad, Bad!" I said as I shook him a bit faster soon he began moving and bolted up causing me to back up and gave him a worried look "hey you okay, you look really shaken up, was it the dream again" I asked looking at my best friend "yes it was and surely I'll never get over it" he says as he began to cry putting his hands on his face. "Hey, hey it's not your fault it happened ok, stop blaming yourself for it" I say giving him a side hug remembering what happened

    'After Bad came from the woods with Nicks jacket I already knew by then what could've happened to Nick, so I went to comfort Bad till he was calm and I told him to stay at the campsite to look after his daughter while I went out and try to look for him as he nodded his head slowly I got up and went off holding a torch since it was night and since we were surrounded by trees it was kinda scary which cause me to shiver but I continued.

    As I got farther in the woods it was beginning to get really cold, since I was holding a torch, the torch was close to going out as there was a cold breeze and since it's night of course it would get cold good thing I had my sweater on if not I would be freezing. Then I remembered "NICK!" I called out looking around the woods "Nick where are you it's me Skeppy, your dad is very worried about you!" I said as I kept looking around soon I heard notices from behind me which I thought was Nick "Nick omg I thought we weren't going to fi- uh oh" I said as I turned around noticing it was Nick at all it was a creature looking animal I thought it was a dog or something when I got closer to get a better look that's when I saw it "uhhhh h-hey buddy" I say as I back away from the wolf slowly raising my hands up trying not to cause the wolf to chase me. It only made the wolf growl at me which frighten me as it was getting ready to attack as I was backing up I tripped on a log and fell on my back and as I fell I saw someone hiding in the distance "HEY!" I called out to the person hiding soon I noticed he had a white bandana on which I knew by then who it was so I called out "NICK! Please run back to the campsite it's dangerous out here!" I yelled which cause the wolf to get closer which made my gulp as I stared at the monster in front of me

I knew by there I was gonna die as I look to my side to where Nick was at only to see him staring from behind the tree "Nick please go back your dad is desperate and wants you to come back, your sister is with us now so please come back!" I said not so loud as the wolf was just a foot away "I-I'm scared, the thing hurt my sister and it's after me and if I run back, it will hurt you guys as well" he said from where he stood "I-it's ok don't be a-afraid on the count of three you run back to the campsite as I distract the wolf okay?" "But i don't know the way back!" He said a bit louder in fear which only caused the wolf to back up from me and began to go his direction "run towards the broken branches it will lead you back now run, RUN!" I say as I got up and pushed the wolf who was trying to get Nick, I watched as Nick went to the path I told him and soon the wolf I pushed howled which made more wolfs come and some went towards Nicks direction "NO YOU LEAVE HIM ALONE!" I yelled as I was trying to run to Nick, then one of the wolfs ran towards me and jump on my back, causing me to fall on the cold ground. Tears came down my face as I knew it was the end "I'm sorry Bad, Nick, Y/N I did what I could" I cried as I closed my eyes and waited to be killed, as I thought I was a goner I heard a shot which caused me to open my eyes and look at the direction where I heard to gun go off, I couldn't see well from my tears but all I know is the the noise it made, caused the wolfs to run away as I stood still shaking at what I just experienced, I saw a woman around my age hold a gun who had a hand out for me to grab so I can get up, I shakily grabbed it and got up as I got up I thanked her and began to look around "hey you okay?" She said as I continue to look around "I-I'm fine b-but... where is he?" "Where is who?" "A boy about this tall, who is wearing a white shirt has a bandana on his head with black sweats on!, I need to find him he is like a son to me! I need to find him he is my friends son I can't lose him!" I say as I began to search for him "oh the little boy who ran off? He was running one way then when he saw a wolf from the direction he was running towards he got scared and ran the other way the path he ran towards was to my home but don't worry Ill have people search for him, we will find him in no time, and the kid will be back with you and your friend" "WHAT! We can't just wait to ask for help we need to get him now!" I say still shaking "hey hey calm down your literally trembling right now why don't you go back to your friend and leave this all to me" she said as she grabbed her gun and put it in mini bag "No No No I need to find him he is my responsibility not yours" "oh come on! I'm a mother too!, you know I may look like a pirate with no family but believe it or not I'm a mother so as a mother I'm TRYNA help you but your being so naive and just denying my help" she said as she walks with me looking for Nick "I'm not denying your help I just don't want you to do all the work especially after you saved me back there" "that's true but something in me is saying to help you so please let me help you I know how devastated your friend and his wife are feeling at the moment!" She says as she walks behind me, I just stopped walking and stood still then slowly turned to face her "Bad's the only parent they have left, and he gives them the mother figure they need in their life" I said as I sigh and turn back towards the way Nick went "besides that they also have me so they aren't alone" I say as we walk through the woods "I-I'm sorry I-I didn't know that" she said from behind me I then turn to face her and smiled "hey, it's okay you never knew, besides I'm sure your an amazing mother" I said as I smiled at her which she gladly returned "thank you" she replies as she smiled back "I'm Skeppy" I say taking out a hand "I'm Captain Puffy, but everyone calls me Puf-" she was saying as she was about to shake my hand but stop when we heard a branch break
