Chapter 4

Skeppy's POV

As we road further into the forest, parts of the forest became darker and spooky looking which I found cool and the other side was truly a beautiful site to see, soon we saw that it divide into two pathways one side being the spooky side and the other side was the beautiful side and of course Bad wanted to go to the nice looking side, but I wanted to go the other side which looked cool and interesting "Skeppy no I know that face anywhere" he said looking at me, as I just smiled widely "oh come on Bad it's been awhile since we went through that side of the forest" I said looking at the dark side of the forest "no Skeppy this side looks safer to me and besides we have always gone this side so come on" he said as he was beginning to turn to the right "Please just this once I promise I won't ask anymore but please can we? Can we?" I begged "No! What if it's not safe?" "Well if it's not safe than we turn back and go the other way, how about that?" I said hopefully changing his mind "Idk Skeppy.." Bad said staring at the dark side of the forest then the other side "Please we can always turn back?" "Fine let's go" "Yay!" "But don't try to pull any pranks on me because I will turn this whole thing around, okay?" Bad said as he turn back and began heading towards the other direction "I promise" I say as I raise my arm up and put my other hand on my chest showing him that I won't break my promise "I'm only doing this because you want to okay, and besides you also promised" "yea yea I know" I said as we rode to the now spooky side of the forest

"This is cool I forgot how we always get the chills right when we enter somewhere scary" I said as i received chills which I shook away the weird feeling "yea I always disliked the shivers" Bad said as he rubbed both arms and continued the journey. "Hey Skeppy?" "Yea?" I replied "Do you know the shortcut to the fair from here?" "Uhh.. oh yea you go straight then take a left then a right then a left then there should be a sign indicating the way to the fair" I said remembering the way to the fair "hmm okay ima listen to you since you know the directions" Bad said "okay well ima take a nap while we get there ok?" "Yea that's fine with me" Bad said as he focused on the road as I lay down and slowly drift to sleep.

~few minutes later~

"Skeppy, Skeppy wake up we are at the signs you talked about" Bad said as he woke me up from the nap "hmmm ok then read the signs" I said half asleep "Skeppy but there are no words on the signs" Bad said as he pointed at the poles with old signs "hmm that weird I guess it must've been a while since the signs can actually be seen" I said as I was now fully awake and got off from the wagon and went towards the pole and examined it "Skeepy I think we should head this way" Bad said pointing at the nicer side of the forest "But if you go that way it's not gonna be a comfortable ride there it has big holes dugged up in the middle of the road and the ride will be bumpy and it's a side hill which is dangerous, but the other paths look safer though" I said pointing at the other paths "I think we should go this way" I said pointing at the middle path "well I think this path is the safest" Bad said as he pointed at the other path "well then let's go before it gets dark and we won't be able to see at night which you know what that means" I said as I got back on the wagon and we began to head Bad's direction "I know, I know if we don't make it out of here by dark we will have to spend the night in the woods and wait till the next morning to get to the fair" Bad said as he just shook his head and kept going "then let's GO!" I said as I stood from where I sat and pointed towards the direction and Bad smiled shaking his head as he probably imagined what I was doing..

As we went further into the path Bad chose, things began to feel sketchy "Bad I'm not sure if we are even going the right path anymore" I said a bit uneasy "why do you said that?" Bad said "I don't know but something is off and I don't like it" I said getting chills as I began to look around starting to see broken branches and scratch marks on trees "Oh come on it can't be that bad, besides if you look forward you can see the beautiful view just about a mile away" Bad said admiring the view up ahead "Bad I think we should either turn back!, or you should hurry up and make the horse go a bit faster!" I said kinda glad he hasn't noticed the broken branches and trees that were all scratched up as I kept looking around I started to notice our surroundings more I started to feel paranoid. The thing was why was I? and as I thought about that I started to notice something or should I say something moving in the woods a bit far from us yet it was close "Why Skeppy we don't need to turn back at all we are literally not far from the other side of the forest, please don't tell me you dropped something, did you?" He asked me "Yeaaa- no no I didn't drop anything I just think we should head back and uh have something to eat, you know like have a little picnic!" I told Bad so he doesn't have to know about the stuff I saw because if he did ohh boy he will yell "uhh yea a picnic sounds nice, why not have it right here then?" Bad said as he slowed the horse down to a stop and then turned to face me "how about we exit the forest first then we can have our picnic deal?" "Hmm deal" Bad answered as he turned around to shake my hand "okay well we gotta hurry if not it will be late to have a picnic" i said trying to make him hurry up and go faster since I didn't want him to worry about our surroundings as we were getting closer that's when I heard it, a branch broke near us "Bad did you that?" I said as I looked towards the noice "No I didn't hear anything why do you say that? Did you hear something?" Bad said not looking away from the road "Bad I think someone or something is following us" I said checking the area where I heard the branch break "Skeppy I know your trying to pull a prank but it's not gonna work on me" bad said glancing over to me then turning back to the road "no, no bad this time I'm not pranking you I swear I think we are being followed" I said trying to convince him "Skeepy I know your trying to scare me but it's not gon-" Bad stopped as this time he heard a branch break as-well as I did to "see I told you I'm not pranking you" I said looking at him then back at the woods
