A week had passed since Y/n had joined the Gremory Peerage. It was a hot Saturday and he stood on a grassy cliff, overlooking a large field, lost in his own thoughts. Today was the day he'd be showing off his powers to Rias and the rest. It was also the day before Issei was set to go on his date with Yuma, the name that Fallen Angel had chosen in order to hide her real identity. Y/n knew he would get an earful when Issei found out the E/c boy was practically waiting for him to die, just so Rias could revive him. For now though, he had to demonstrate the powers of the Seven Titans.
A hand lightly tapped him on the shoulder, snapping him out of his trance. He turned around to find Akeno, looking at him worriedly.
"Are you okay?", she asked.
"I guess so. It's just...I don't feel right, letting Issei die. I mean, I know we're gonna bring him back, but it still just doesn't sit with me".
"I know", Akeno said, her voice filed with sympathy, "You told us how close the two of you are".
Y/n nodded at the raven haired girl. "He and his parents took me in when I had nothing. They treated me like I was their own. To me, Issei isn't just my best friend, he's a brother".
Y/n was barely holding back tears, and that was the last straw from Akeno. She pulled him close, and wrapped her arms around him firmly.
"If you want to cry, you can", she whispered, "It's okay, I won't tell anyone".
In response, he wiggled his chin into her shoulder and began to quietly sob. All the while, Akeno was gently patting his back, whispering softly into his ear, "That's it. Let it all out".
Her voice was almost heavenly, and Y/n was in no mood to deny it. He let the tears flow, staining the white T-shirt Akeno wore. A few minutes went by, and Y/n was able to compose himself, yet he and Akeno still held each other.
"You really care about Issei, don't you?"
"We basically grew up together, although I could never share his perverted tendencies".
"It seems like you kept the looks to yourself too", Akeno smiled.
"Well, that's obvious", Y/n boasted, causing Akeno to giggle. She finally let go of Y/n's body.
"Thanks for that Akeno, it really helped".
"Your very welcome. Remember, your our family too now", she told him.
They smiled at each other and turned to face Rias, Kiba, and Koneko, who were now approaching.
"Alright Y/n, you ready to begin?", Rias asked.
"Absolutely", he said.
"Good, but first, take this", she handed him a small glowing bud, "This com link will allow us to communicate with you, at least in human form. As for Titan form, we're not sure".
"That shouldn't be a problem anyway", Y/n told her, "Titan's have enhanced abilities, including hearing. Talk normally, and I'll be able to hear you just fine from down there".
With that, Y/n descended down the cliff and made his way into the center of the field. Rias and Koneko had scoped this location out earlier in the week, and determined it to be a suitable place to observe Y/n's power. It was mostly secluded, and they had placed a barrier up as a precaution, to hide their activity.
"Okay boss, can you hear me?", Y/n asked over the channel.
"Loud and clear my dear rook, we're ready for you whenever", she told him.
"Alright. First up is the Attack Titan. Originally in possession of the Jeagar family, the Attack Titan is pretty basic. I'll show you".
Y/n turned to face the cliff and cracked his neck, before raising his hand to his mouth and bitting down on his thumb, drawing blood. In a second, a bright flash appeared in the sky, followed by a streak of yellow lighting that crashed into the ground, directly where Y/n stood.
