Dylan
It was only day five of living on the streets for Dylan along with hearing his voice in her head. And her soul felt more distant from her body as the hours went by.
She didn't know what it was or how she got it, the voice. All she knew was that she was alone in the big city with nowhere to go. Without her father, she felt lost.
She hasn't seen him since that night before waking up on the busy streets.
She wanted to find him. She called him, texted him. But got nothing in return. She needed to find him but it was keeping her from searching.
She walked along the crowded streets of the city, trying to find a quiet alley to rest at.
Hungry.
It said and frightened the girl, causing her to jump back and fall. She gazed around, not looking at everything or anyone in particular.
Again? Really? She thought.
People stared and the murmurs carried, filling her ears, she was flushed from the embarrassment.
The voice would come out of nowhere. Its tone of voice was demanding. It had a rasp.
She still didn't know how to deal with it. It's demeanor that is.
She couldn't wrap her head around it.
Feed now.
She had frozen in place, hearing it again. Her heartbeat quickened as the dread grew.
The only food she ate was a half-eaten bag of chips out of the trash two days ago.
Something took over Dylan's legs, making her rise to her feet without pushing herself up. Her eyes widened by the action she couldn't control.
She knew it was it. Him.
The confused girl began to walk through and around the crowds. On some occasions would push past people, rudely, and always ending in her apologizing as she speed-walked away.
She didn't have a clue where it was taking her. But it soon stopped in front of a candy shop.
Go get.
Dylan knew damn well she didn't have any money on her nor had the desire to steal some.
The voice had reminded her of a child with no patience. Because sometimes she had to put her foot down.
"No," She said to herself, getting the control in her legs back and walking away.
And when she did, it would get angry.
No!
The purple color liquid substance had come up from her skin and covered her from head to toe. It took over, using her body as its host, and began to cause mayhem.
The people screamed as they ran away from the symbiote. Its jaw came around and over her head. Its hundreds of layers of sharp teeth dripped with saliva.
It roared upward before storming the candy shop. Crashing through the window, shattering the rest of them as the owner ducked under the front counter.
Its jaw then extended before it chomped at the shelves of chocolate bars but instead, took out a part of the back wall.
The things roared out in disturbance as bullets collided with its water-like skin. But the bullets never drew blood, it's skin held them, being more powerful than the bullets themselves. It turned around to see the police fired towards it.
