Peter

The next morning Peter headed to school as always but with a bit of weight on his shoulders. That and he almost got run over by Flash. He honked his car horn as he screeched his tires. "What's up, Penis Parker?" He yelled as he drove off, letting everyone hear his comment. Peter shook it off, heading inside and to his locker.

With the school's news people being cast for the daily announcements, Peter strolled through the halls while ignoring everyone as he listened to music with one earbud in. "Rise and shine, Midtown Science and Technology! Students, don't forget about your homecoming tickets." The announcer spoke through the intercom.

Navigating around people, Peter made it to his locker only to be greeted by Ned, his best friend. "Join me, and together, we'll build my new lego death star," Ned's voice in a rough tone, making Peter look back to see him holding a lego man over his shoulder. "What?" Peter asked, getting excited but realized he said that out loud. He lowered his voice. "No way. That's awesome. How many pieces?"

"Three thousand eight hundred and three," Ned explained.

Peter pulled out a book from his locker. "That's insane,"

"I know. You want to build it tonight?" Ned asked.

"No, I can't tonight. I've got the Stark-"

"Mm-hm," Ned figured he'd say that as he slammed his locked shut and began to walk with him down the hall. "Stark internship,"

"Yeah, exactly," Peter mumbled, looking ahead.

"Always got that internship,"

"Yeah, well, hopefully, soon it'll lead to a real job with them," Peter lied.

Ned had glanced over. "That would be so sweet,"

"Right?" Peter commented.

"He'd be all, "Good job on those spreadsheets, Peter. Here's a gold coin," Ned joked and Peter gave him a look.

Ned wasn't sure. "I don't know how jobs work," he admitted to him.

"That's exactly how they work," Peter said, causing Ned to laugh. Peter smiled but it soon turned into an 'o' as he stared at the girl of his dreams while Ned rambled more about the death star.

Liz, his crush, was walking by with her friends, not particularly making eye contact with him. Her eyes made his heart flutter. "That'd be great," he murmured as the school bell rang.

Peter, in the first class of the day, was already bored out of his mind. Instead of listening to the teacher, he had his laptop out and was watching youtube videos of the girl he met. The monster girl. He studied the video, looking at the liquid-like form that covered the girl's body. Most of the videos on youtube were blurry, out of focus, or just in bad quality, which didn't quite satisfy his curiosity.

"Okay, so how do we calculate linear acceleration between points A and B?" The teacher asked the class, then called on Flash's raised hand.

"It's the product of the sine of the angle and gravity divided by the mass," He answered but was incorrect, according to the teacher. Her eyes scanned the class only to spot Peter in the low behind Flash.

"Peter," she called, causing Peter to pop his head up from his laptop. "You still with us?" She asked.

"Uh, uh, yeah, yeah," He stuttered, closing the laptop and looking at the problem up on the whiteboard. "Uh, mass cancels out, so it's just gravity times since," he answered.

"Right," The teacher nodded. "See, Flash, being the fastest isn't always the best if you are wrong," She called him out, making the class chuckled.
