Peter
After Dylan had left, Peter didn't let himself be down about it. He only focused on homecoming and getting ready. His aunt May helped him pick out the clothes, along with how to tie a tie and some dancing lessons.
When the sun had set, she drove him to Liz's house. And as much as he wanted to focus on making Liz happy tonight, he still thought about Dylan.
He did like what happened last night with him and Dylan. He felt like they have grown closer and that's all he ever wanted was for her to be more comfortable around him.
He didn't regret what happened at all.
But he didn't regret what he said to her this morning. He didn't mean to sound ignorant or rude towards her, he was simply trying to keep her from leaving. Yet he knew that wasn't a good idea either. So he let her go.
He thought about what she said about her plan about taking Adrian down. And he would've said yes but Liz.
He didn't want to let her down again by ditching her at the dance. He thought it was the right thing to do yet he was also hurting another by doing so.
Currently, he sat in the passenger seat as aunt May hyped him up. "It's game day. So what's the plan?" She asked, stopping the car in front of her house.
"Open the door for her," he began to list.
"Mh-hm,"
"Tell her she looks nice, but not too much because that's creepy,"
"Don't be creepy,"
"No. And when I dance with her, I'm putting my hands on her hips," he recapped, taking in a deep breath. "I got this." He got out of the car, saying bye to May, and began to walk up to the front entrance.
He rang the doorbell and waited, trying to get his thoughts to go away.
The way he felt when he ran his fingers through her damp hair, getting it out of her face as she slept.
His heart fluttered seeing her at peace with her emotions. She was calm and relaxed. Resting against him. His eyes examining her features was something he'd been meaning to do.
Noticing her lips, how they were so plump and full. So pink. He had to hold back the urge to-
The door then clicked open and revealed the last person he would want to see. Adrian stood in the doorway, smiling as he looked him up and down. "You must be Peter,"
Peter's heart had stopped as his chest tightened. His smile was longer there, causing his lips to go into a straight thin line. "Yeah," he replied shortly. As this day couldn't get any crazier.
"I'm Liz's dad," He reached out his hand. "Put 'er there,"
With hesitation, Peter shook it in utter shock.
"Hell of a grip," Adrian commented. "Come on in here. Come on," He pulled his hand, pushing him inside the house.
Peter stared at him while he shuffled awkwardly to the side as he closed the door. Adrian went ahead and walked past him while Peter began to freak out internally.
He slowly made his way further into the house, looking at Adrian as he was washing dishes.
Peter couldn't believe what he was seeing. Adrian, who was Dylan's fake dad, was actually Liz's real dad.
Peter jumped at the voice of Liz's mom, walking in. "Hi, Peter. You look very handsome,"
"Thank you," he barely managed to speak. He could overhear them talking about him but he couldn't listen.
