Dylan
Dylan didn't say a word the whole time iron man carried her to safety. She was too stunned after the events moments ago.
Her heart felt like it was going the speed of light, her breathing was short and unsteady. Her eyes were polished but tears never ran.
She would look back at the flying man at times but never said anything. She pondered if he was linked with Peter in any way.
Dylan felt Iron Man's hold shift, preparing to land on top of a high building. She snapped out of her thoughts and got away from Iron Man, jumping out of his arms as soon as they were close enough to the building.
She went straight to the corner and sat against the wall. The flying man looked at her, observing her behavior.
"Stay here, kid," he ordered in a subtle icy tone. Dylan stood up after he left, watching as he flew away and in the direction, they came from.
With her breathing still hitching, she backed away from the edge.
She let out a whimper, falling to her knees, she leaned forward, resting her forehead on the ground. She pulled her hair as she let out a dry cry.
Don't cry, Dylan.
She jolted upward. "Venom, are you okay? What happened?"
Weapon injured me, couldn't form.
She huffed. "Are you okay now?"
Better.
She sighed in relief. "Thank God. I thought wouldn't talk to you again,"
I'll always be with you, Dylan. I can't die unless you die.
"Wow, that's sad," she put her hands on her hips as she looked at the view of the city. She'd never seen it like this.
Indeed.
She tried to focus on the view but the emotions came back. She let out a shaky breath as her eyes began to sting.
Don't cry, Dylan.
"Did you not see what just happened? My father tried to..... Kill me," she ran a hand through her hair, trying to take some deep breaths as she straightened her back.
Off in the distance, Dylan saw the Spidey boy swinging her way. She stepped back.
"No. I don't want him to see me like this,"
Then I help.
"No, Venom, not this time," Dylan argued with him, not letting him form around her and take over.
Peter had swung in and landed in front of her. She averted her gaze away from him, not wanting his sympathy for her.
Peter didn't say anything, only waved and made his way to the edge. He sat down with his head hanging low. Dylan wondered why he was so bummed out suddenly but didn't want to pry. Because someone was already going to pry him.
Iron man flew in, his jets roaring as he glanced at Dylan's way but maiming focusing on the boy. Dylan didn't think this was anything of her business but it was kind of hard not to eavesdrop since she was a few feet away.
Nearby helicopters whirred in the distance, making the conversation between Peter and iron man seem miles away to Dylan.
"Previously on Peter Screws the Pooch, I tell you to stay away from this. Instead, you hacked a multimillion-dollar suit so you could sneak around behind my back doing the one thing I told you not to do," Iron man said with an icy tone.
