"My feet hurt!" Marry exclaimed.
"Shut up. Stop complaining." I said, walking slowly.
"Where are we going again?" Henry asked.
"Well, you see right there? Yeah, past there until we get out of this town." I said.
"How are we going to get past all those cars? What if there are zombies in there?" Matt asked.
"Correction, there are zombies in there. Looks like the govern mate tried to take care of stuff. See the gate?" I said.
"How are we going to get past that gate? There is no way I am climbing it." Marry said.
"Fine, you can stay here and tell us when zombies are about to get in." I said.
Marry shut up for once and I was a little surprised. I looked at her clothes and some blood was still on it. I guess all the blood from before had stained through. We came to the gate and could see through all the cars. Looks like someone tried to push them together to make a circle or something. I gripped the bat tightly and grabbed onto the gate. I pulled myself up and started to climb up. Matt, Henry, and then Marry climbed up after me. I was near the top of the gate and looked out. A bunch of zombies were walking around. Some cars were opened and some had bloody dripping off of it. I slowly climbed down and yelped. I looked at my leg and saw blood drip down to my ankle. I quickly climbed down and leaned against the gate. Matt looked at my leg and smiled at me. He ripped off part of his sleeve and wrapped it around my cut. I felt heat rush to my cheeks and looked away.
"Thanks. We should keep going before we become breakfast to these walkers." I said, smiling at Matt.
Out of the corner of my eye, I'm not sure if it happened or not, but I think I saw Henry give Matt a pissed off look. Well, maybe I didn't get enough sleep. We walked quietly and squatted behinds cars if a zombie was roaming around from inside of it. I peeked out of the side of the car and felt my heart drop. Inside of the car, was a baby's seat. It had blood all over it and a baby's toy was near it. I felt pain fill my heart and I continued to walk. I heard Marry gasp and I knew she had seen it too. I took a deep breath and tried to calm my nerves. We were just about to turn the corner of a car when I heard a thud. I turned around and tried not to laugh. Henry had tripped over and was laying on the ground. He automatically jumped up and flipped his hair out of his eyes.
"I meant to do that." He said.
I smiled and was about to turn around when I crashed into someone. I looked up and came face to bloody jaw.....with a zombie.

I opened my mouth to scream but Henry grabbed me and put his hand on my mouth. I gulped and looked as the zombie moved on. Mary pushed me away from Henry and glared at me. I flicked her off and walked away. We ducked behind a truck and stared at the gate. We had to climb over if we wanted to get across town. Matt climbed first and then Mary. Henry helped me up and was climbing when we heard a big roar. A huge man came running towards us. Mary screamed as the man grabbed Henry. I jumped down and hit him on the head with the bat. He didn't budge. Henry was pale and looked like he was about to piss his pants. I hit the zombie again and again. He groaned and screamed. I felt like I was about to piss my pants.
"God dammit, just go down already!" I shouted.
Just then, the bat broke. It split in two and I stood there. I looked up at the zombie. Time seemed to go by slowly.
"Katie, the pointy side! Stab him in the head!" Matt shouted.
I didn't waste time. I grabbed it and stabbed it through his head. A piece of his brain came right off as the sharp piece of the bat went through. Henry rolled out of the way just as he fell to the ground. I sighed and fell to the floor.
"Henry...are you alright?" I asked.
"Yes. I wasn't bitten. Thanks for saving me." He said, gasping for air.
"No problem. That's what friends are for." I said, getting up.
Henry looked as if I had slapped him. Good. Know he knew what it felt like. I cleared my throat and made sure he climbed up. I climbed up after him and landed across. I looked out and felt a lump form in my throat. It was like a ghost town. Not only that, but what would I do next? What would we do after it was over? Would it ever be over? I began to feel light headed.
"You okay?" Matt asked.
"Yeah. Just a little dizzy from all the excitement." I joked.
He smiled and we laughed.  I didn't want to admit it...but I was glad that I had some people with me. I'm happy that I'm not alone. I looked up and sighed. We had to go a long way before sundown.
