Ji-Hoon's POV
I'm getting envious all over again. My heart aches whenever I watch Soo-Young ruffling Min-Jun's hair! And now, she volunteered to accompany Min-Jun, which made me apprehensive. Why can't it be me and why must it be him?...
So little mouse thought that since we had to visit two places, we should do it in pairs. I never expected Ye-Ri to accompany me...
I don't dislike her best friends; I just find them weird. Min-Jun is a decent person, but he also likes her, which bothers me. Ye-Ri, on the other hand, is a fucking theatrical bitch, and when she hooks along with Soo-Young, it gets much worse!...
I have no choice but to stick with this bitch...
"So, baby giraffe, what are we going to do?" As she slung her arm over me, Ye-Ri solicited that maybe she could find some ways to help.
Baby giraffe, what the fuck!...
"Don't call me that!" I responded bitterly, giving her a death gaze.
"Oh, come on, don't be that way." She yanked on my cheeks, and it hurts like shit
"Stop doing that!" I took her hands away because she is acting strangely right now.
I should have said no, but when little mouse gave me that pathetic look, I couldn't refuse...
"Ya, we're going to meet someone and it might be useful for her and also for me I guess." I told her where exactly are we going so that she won't be lost or clueless when she reaches there
"Useful to you?" She likely raised her brows, thinking how this could be useful to me.
"I'm not sure if it'll benefit me because Hye-Rin's case is connected to mine, and it's difficult for me." I admit, sighing.
"How does Hye-Rin resemble into your scenario?" Ye-Ri appeared perplexed.
"She and the Genz company are pals, so I figured I could acquire some information from her. Even though I have some, it doesn't help me in my situation. The Genz corporation will always be looking for a solution to hide its tracks." I said, glowering, as it is the most complicated case I've ever handled, and I'm on the verge of quitting up.
"That's problematic." She murmured it.
"I agree, but let's hope for the best." I offered a stiff smile and said, "I'm not going to give up."
"Baby giraffe, don't be so hard on yourself." She patted my back, which caused me to reconsider for a second.
Maybe she isn't that horrible after all, but I'm still sceptical...
"Looks like we have arrive." I said as I rang the doorbell after noticing a single-story house.
"Who, after all, is this someone?" As the two of us waited at the door, Ye-Ri questioned.
"We're meeting with Soo-Young's witness from the trial the other day." I answered and before Ye-Ri could respond, the woman had already opened the door.
"Hello! Are you the prosecutor I spoke with on the phone yesterday?" The woman asked just to be sure, and she had that expression on her face.
"I am, indeed. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Lee. I'm Prosecutor Kang, and this is Kang Ye-Ri, a friend who isn't a lawyer but is supporting us with the trial." I gently greeted her before introducing Ye-Ri and myself and spoke more about her
