Chapter 5: The Castle

"Let go of Diamond!" I threatened. I had my spike ready and I could feel the hot breath climbing up my neck. Steam was right beside me. His gills on his neck flaring and in his fighting stance.

He had his two wings in front of him and his back legs far behind him. His tail almost touching his back feet. He had his head all the way stretched out. His eyes were locked on the queen.

Diamond was holding the queens talons shaking. All I wanted to do was grab her away from the queen.

"So... What do I do now?" The queen asked in a tone that scared me. "Should I use this time as a way to make you come with us to the castle? Or should I just kill this little thing?"

"No please! You can take me! Leave them!" I yelled. I wanted to take her away from the queen, but I knew if I went any closer to Diamond the queen would kill her.

"But why would I want only you? If I could have her, and I guess all of you," she said. When she said that she went from Diamond, then Star, then me and I saw in her eyes that she wanted only to scare us and make us respect her. I new then how to save Diamond.

"Why don't you just take me and Steam," I said pointing to Steam. From the corner of my eye I saw Steam look at me and shake his head. Please just follow my lead. "Me and Steam are even better than those others. I can be a servant and Steam can be a awesome soldier"

"That sounds interesting. I guess I could let them leave. But one thing is that I am keeping your guardian." She said looking at Obsidian. "Wouldn't you like to come back to the castle sweetheart?"

"Well, I... I... I want you to let them go!" Obsidian scolded. She looked like a mother scolding her child. "I will go then if I now they are safe."

"I never new that you really cared about us Obsidian," Coral said looking around me to her.

"Ya! I thought you hated us!" Star said surprised.

"I don't hate you! Gosh, you all just get on my nerves. Now shut it and let me talk!" She yelled but before she could hide it I say pink swirl on her wingtips (it mostly means she's blushing).

"But they would be such fun toys!" The queen wined. "I could do so many things with them! Everyone would be thrilled to see a Novawing and a Windwing in my arena!" She pointed at me and Star.

How can I save them? If she only wants Star and me maybe I could get her to only take us and I will tell Star the plan later I thought.

"Then take me and Star. Leave the others!" I said. Star stepped up with me and before I new it the guards were on us bringing us to the castle.

The castle was a huge mountain looking building. It had only one window and it was in the middle of the castle and you could see the throne room. When we landed you could see that almost half their diamonds, emeralds, and other gems were on the walls. The throne was as bigger than any dragon I have ever met (so very big). When I looked beside me to tell Star my plan because we were alone. Star was gone! A blazing pain went through my head and then everything became black.
