An Unlikely Partnership~Tododeku

21~ Lights, Camera, Interview!

Todoroki glanced at himself in the mirror, checking himself out in a suit. He was to be interviewed about the situation that had happened. Many of his friends had come to check up on him and gave him moral support for his interview.

Knock, knock, knock. "Todoroki-kun? Are you ready?"

"Yeah... I'll be right out Melissa."

He walked out of the back rooms of the interview center and followed Melissa to the door of the studio. She opened the door and they entered.

There were two chairs set up in front of a camera and some sort of stage lights, with someone sitting in the chair furthest from the door.

"Hello! My name is Hirawa Amethyst and I'll be interviewing you today! I just need you to sit on that chair right there!"

(Cough cough OC appearance #2)

Todoroki nodded and moved to his seat quietly before Melissa nodded at the duo and left.

"Alright! You all ready!" The camera man smiled as Hirawa nodded. "Lights! Camera! INTERVIEW!"

"Hello everyone! My name is Hirawa Amethyst and I'll be your host for today's interview! With me today, I have the number three pro hero, Shouto!"

Todoroki smiled a little, lifting his hand for a wave.

"Alright! Let's get started! Shouto, to clear up the recent events, could you please give a recount of what has happened for the past few days?"

Todoroki nodded slowly and swallowed. He recounted first from the moment when they were called to Dynamight Agency, to finding the place with their first clue, going through the first challenge where they relived their worst memories. Getting the second clue, finding the phone number, meeting the villains. He didn't reveal teh villain's name and kept her identity a secret. He recounted everything that happened in the maze, right up to the part when Midoriya died when he suddenly stopped.

Hirawa looked confused.

(IF YOU'RE CONFUSED GO TO CONFUSED.COM WHERE WE CAN BE CONFUSED TOGETHER)

"Sorry... I'll continue. So... We managed to keep going into this expanse of water..."

Melissa smiled. Everything was going according to plan. What happens next would set of a bomb in the country.

Todoroki had nearly finished his story. He told the story right up to the part where they woke up in the hospital.

"Alright... We're going to ask some questions, is that alright?"

Todoroki nodded.

"First question, 'why did you choose to save the person the villain wanted back?'"

"That's a hard question to be honest, but villains would do anything for the ones they love, even if it means destroying the world for them, whereas heroes would do anything to protect their loved ones. I just thought it was right. They'd come so far and I didn't want to disappoint them. I brought Kirishima back too, it's what Midoriya would've wanted."

"Alright! You heard it guys, a flawless and heartbreaking reply from our hero!" Hirawa smiled. "Next, we have... 'Who was Midoriya to you?'"

Todoroki swallowed. "He... He was my best friend, just- Just this typical ray of sunshine... When he smiled it just made everything in the world all right again and... I guess he was my everything..." He wiped a few tears away, aggravated that he was letting himself cry on television. "I never got to say goodbye to him.... And I regret that more than anything..."

Hirawa nodded. "If you could've prevented it from happening, how would've you done it?"

"I...." He grimaced. "I should've been the one to have died. He was our symbol of peace. I know it sounds like I don't believe in a new symbol of peace, and I know this sounds sappy, but he just brought peace to everything he did. That guy was kind, generous, caring and all the others amazing traits that someone should have. He should've lived, and it's my fault he died..."

Melissa walked on set to give him moral support. "It's not your fault Todoroki, it was inevitable. No one would've knew that it was going to happen."

"Still! I was there! I saw it! Instead of going to help, I just stood there frozen like some sort of statue!"

Hirawa looked a little awkward. "You'd give anything to see him again, right?"

Todoroki nodded.

"Well, here's your chance!"

Todoroki turned his head as the studio door opened and a familiar pair of red shoes walked in through the door. Green fluffy hair, green eyes, cute freckles and a very, very large smile.

Todoroki sat in his chair in shock as the cameraman turned the camera around to face Midoriya who was standing at the edge of the set. "Missed me?"

In a second Todoroki was up and out of his chair, standing before the shorter male. He paused as if to check if Midoriya was real or not and then hugged him, tight. Midoriya hugged back not caring that his shoulder was now soaked in tears. 

"Shhhh... It's alright, I'm here Shouto... I'm here..."

Melissa smiled at the scene, both her and Hirawa tearing up a little bit too. Across the nation, those watching all had a sense of happiness as their hearts melted at the wholesome reunion.

(Fun fact I'm actually crying cause this is wholesome af)

After an enternity, Todoroki pulled away. "H-how?"

Midoriya smiled and pulled another chair in front of the camera. "Well, do you remember Nighteye's daughter?"

Todoroki nodded slowly.

"Well, I got her to look into my future before we left for the mission and she told me that I was going to die if I went. Melissa-san came up with an idea of quickly altering Mimic to be an exact replica of me, except I could actually control it. So I stayed behind at Melissa's lab which was still there and controlled it. There were speakers and everything. I controlled it through a type of VR, but I could move without actually moving in real life. It's a little like nerve gear (from Sword Art Online...)"

"So... For the whole time, you were never with us?" Todoroki sounded as if he were in utter disbelief.

Midoriya shook his head. "I would never take the chance to leave you guys, ever." He blushed slightly. "I also heard what you said earlier... And- Love you too Shouto..."

And at that moment, there was nothing to make the world an even better place.
