They had arrived back at Dynamight Agency quite late at night. The sun had just set and the clock on the wall read 20:46.
Exhausted from their journeys, the heroes slumped down in their chairs and exhaled. Everyone was in the room.
Uraraka was the first to speak up. "So... What did you guys do that involved you to stay in that building for five hours?"
The four sat up. Five hours?! It didn't feel like that long, maybe an hour at most.
"We found some sort of... Passageway. It led to this staircase which spiralled down for quite a long way and at some points, each section was lined with different gemstones and precious metals. There was this... Like... This one corridor at the bottom of the staircase which was filled with gems too. That opened up into a large chamber which contained this large button which Midoriya pressed." Todoroki paused and looked at Kirishima.
Kirishima continued the story. "Then this hologram appeared and told us about finding the next clue. Then this door opened and we walked through it. We woke up not very long later in this room? I don't know if you could call it a room. It was more like... A little section where two rooms join. It wasn't very big though. There were four doors with our names on and then we got dragged in. When I got dragged in, I relived my worst memories and overcame them to get out. I'm guessing the rest of us had something similar. I won't go into details about what was in the room because it still may be painful for them. You get the gist."
"So.... What happened after that?" Asui scratched her neck slowly. "Did you guys get the clue after that somehow? Another test or...?" Her voice trailed off.
"Well-" "Actually-"
Bakugou and Midoriya looked at each other. "You go Kacchan. You're better at explaining things than I am to be honest."
"When all of us came back, there was a hologram that told us to get onto this circle." He breathed in slowly as if recalling something and continued. "The circle rose up and we were back in the room we were in before the test thing happened. The hologram came back and told us that we could have the clue or something and the glass case with it in opened. Here it is."
The heroes had never really looked at the clue properly. It was on old parchment paper and wrapped around a bamboo stick- like a scroll.
"Guys? Shall we open it? What are we waiting for?" Kaminari sounded nervous. Excited, but nervous."
Kirishima took the scroll and delicately unraveled it from its home, laying it out on the table.
The heroes all leaned in closer to get a better look. The scroll read:
Don't fight over it or there will be hate,
Your lucky numbers are:
One, Twenty Two, Four, Twelve, Seven and Eighty Eight.
Look ahead, but not too far,
Or you'll be the one used as the bait.
This power is more powerful than a star,
But nothing you do can change your fate.
"W-wow... That's... How do I say it?" Yaoyorozu looked at Jirou.
Jirou twirled her earphone jacks. "Dark..? Depressing? Ominous?"
"Yeah..."
"I wonder what it means by 'Your lucky numbers are One, Twenty Two, Four, Twelve, Seven and Eight.' Does it have any significant meaning or..?" Hagakure piped up and waved her gloved hands around so everyone knew where she was.
