"This could be the start of something new."

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to New York." i heard the flight attendant said.

I ignored it as i look at the window, two days after having a talk about the help the avengers offered with Francis and Andrea. I left them a note, i booked a flight and left when they are asleep. I don't want them to be involve anymore, they are starting a family. I want them to be happy, even if this will be one of the stupid decision i did.

After i got out of the plane, i went to a nearest place where i can buy some snacks and i used my laptop. I tracked where the avengers is and they are in a conference, the xmen is also there while i tracked Peter in midtown high. As i got my order, i headed to where midtown high is.

A fifteen minutes ride in a taxi and i arrived at Midtown exactly as the dismissal of Peter. I still waited for Peter and i felt a bit uncomfy because it's getting crowded, i saw some students looking at me but i felt my scar behind my ears started hurting.

I look around and i saw Peter talking with a friend of him, i guess. His friend glance at his back and i sighed then i slowly walked towards them.

"Come on, Ned. She's not here, she's in europe. Maybe it's just--" i cut off Peter.

"Hey, Parker." i called and he look at me his eyes widening.

"She's your soulmate?" Ned asked as he glance at me.

"E-elyra, w-what are you doing h-here?" Peter asked stuttering.

"To work. Come on, Peter. We need to go to the compound." i stated.

"Wait- did they told you to fetch me?" Peter said.

"I'm not one of their assistant. Hello, Ned." i said and smiled at Ned.

"Wait- how do you.. know my name?" Ned asked.

"I-i told her! I need to go man, i promise i'll make it up to you next time!" Peter quickly said as i started walking.

I started walking while Peter followed and walk along with me, some students are looking at us and i can feel the Peter feeling uncomfortable.

"Relax." i muttered and he nodded.

"Yes..." Peter whispered.

"Think of just your name, Peter. When we get to the compound, just think about your name and don't think about meeting me. I don't want the telepath to know i'm there." i said.

"What? I thought they know.. wait. Are you surprising them?" Peter asked.

"No. Don't ask questions." i stated and he just nodded.

"Tony, Peter called. Why aren't you answering your phone?" Steve asked.

"It's on silent mode. Why did he call?" Tony stated.

"It's an urgent matter." Steve answered.

"What's the urgent matter?" Natasha asked.

"He didn't tell but we need to go." Steve said.

"There's still conference, Steve." Sam said.

"We can't just leave in the middle of this." Bucky said.
