"hey, my two favorite kids are back." Sarah said with excitement.

"here we are." I replied with the same excitement.

"why didn't your friends come?" she asked

"uhh, we had some things to do so before going back we dropped by here." Abby replied.

"Oh finally, you went on a date?" she squealed.

"No." we both said at a time.

"oh and I heard about what happened yesterday, are you guys ok, and why haven't you told me anything that is happening around?" she asked with concern written all over her face and ignoring our previous ranting.

"we are fine now, nothing to worry about, we haven't told you because we didn't want you to be worried and the moment we enter the café we forget what is going around us., we can be our own self." Abby replied and I smiled and nodded in agreement.

"Are you guys dealing with this all by yourselves" she asked looking at both of us.

We both just nodded our heads. Looking down.

"Oh my poor kids come here" she said and pulled both of us into a hug.

Her hugs were always warm, they could take away all the sadness in you.

"I am glad you guys are OK though and remember next time anything happens you are coming to me" she said in a warning tone.

We both chuckled and nodded our heads.

"So you remember I told I want to give you something, do you want to go somewhere and I can give you next time or you want it now?" she asked politely

"We have nowhere to go, just home so we can take it now and by the way you are saying, it is freaking me out. I cant wait anymore." I replied giggling

"Ohk give me a minute" she said and went inside, when I looked at Abby he just shrugged.

She slowly walked out of the kitchen room along with Abel who has the biggest grin on his face but they always hold hands when they are walking but now Sarah's has her hands behind her back which made it become more suspicious.

"Oh god its so long, I missed you both soo much." Abel said hugging us

"And Emily how are boys treating you, should I break bones for you." He said looking at me

I chuckled and said "no everything is going great and this gentleman here beside me is doing a good job I have to say."

"Oh that's great, All that I thought you, you are putting it to use finally, good job son." He said patting Abby on his shoulder.

Sarah came forward smiling and said "This ones for you" and gave me the necklace and "this one's yours boy" she said and gave a bracelet to Abby.

It is a round shaped and it has the same crystal in both the chain and the necklace. It is an emerald.

"Oh my god is this the one that I am not thinking of?" I asked her in disbelief because they are given to her from her parents and their ancestors. Its been handed over for generations.

"We cant accept this, why are you giving it to us?" Abby objected.

"If our son and daughter are here today, We would have passed it to them, but now things are different and we don't want this stop with us and also you are like our daughter and son now. You are all we have."

Their daughter died in a plane crash when she was going away after coming and visiting them for a spring break. His son is in military and he died when he was on a mission. It broke their heart when they lost both of them in a span of 2 months, they were devastated, did not open the café for almost half a year and never even saw them around the town they locked themselves in their home. Later thankfully they tried and moved on with their lives.
