old best friend

while we were in the middle of setting our tents a guy came towards us . He is tall, very muscular and he has big green eyes, his hair messy. he looks dangerous but the moment he offered us to help with a smile, it proved us wrong. we were done with that and he huffed and stood up clapping his hands to shake the dust off.

Just in time Abby walked to us and the moment he saw the boy he went forward and hugged him and said. " hey man, its been very long, I have missed you."

same here brother, I missed your presence here and I missed you, but I was happy about one thing, I don't need to hear you brag about that girl who ever she is. what is her name again. wait, let me think , I remember it starts with E or something.

then all of a sudden everyone's every snapped at me. He looked at me suspiciously and took a step towards me and said " hi my name is Lucas, it is very nice to meet you . may I know your name please." he said as politely as he can and put his hand forward for me to shake.

But not wanting to be embarrassed I said "Hi, my name is Amber and it is very nice to meet you too" and put forward my hand to shake his.  but just in time everyone shouted Emily. this made me ever more embarrassed so I kept my head down. He will now think I am a liar.

"oh yes that girl's name is Emily too. By any chance If it is really you then he is right, you are really beautiful. "he said.

I don't know if he is asking me or complimenting me so I just said "thank you".

so it really is you, you accepted my compliment and said thank you, then this must be her.

I made a mental note to smack my head later for becoming fool and just smiled.

every one smiled, Nash said "very smart move, I should try this to other women. "

"try man, it always works." this made everyone chuckle.

then everyone looked at each other and Sansa spoke " "sorry, our bad we haven't introduced ourselves." Then they introduced to each other.

All this while Abby kept his head down for embarrassment but he was actually blushing.

Lucas then introduced us to his friends and now we are sitting around the campfire. slow music playing in the background everyone is having a beer in their hands except for me of course. Telling Stories about each other. I got to know that Lucas and Abby knew each other for almost 15 years. they became friends when they were in kindergarten.

we were done talking so stood up and started dancing. Then Abby came to me and asked " can I have a dance with you?"

I nodded my head. took his hand and while we were dancing I started talking . "so to how many people did you brag about me?"

I did not brag, I just told them the truth about you, they are just over reacting.

oh ohk, as you say, but do you really think I am that beautiful like you mention to others. I mean there are lot of other girls who are way better looking than me, way sexier than me back in school as well as in college now. why me.

Because I have seen the real you, not the Appearance you are thinking about. that does not mean you don't look beautiful on the outside though. you are way sexier than those girls who wear short dresses and fashionable dresses. you wear only the dresses that you are comfortable in, not caring what the world thinks of you.

"But don't you think I am fat, see the other girls they have a perfect structure." I said being embarrassed about my body. though I have lost a lot of weight compared to the first day I was in New York. I thanked myself for taking the decision of going to Gym. I have become healthy.
