Chapter 7 Choices

I woke up early that Wednesday, It was my birthday but more importantly Alya was coming home. I was awake before sunrise, so I decided to soak in my parents tub. I was keyed up already and knew I need to relax. I had no problems with the shaking anymore; my wolf only came out when I wanted her to. My powers were still a mystery to me. I sometimes made things move and fly when I was mad or when my anxiety was high. The fire seemed to be link to the wolf so nothing caught on fire when I was mad.

I grabbed my phone and text my best friend, Salina.

"I am sorry I have not gotten back to you, Thank you for coming to the funeral. I am not having a party for my birthday but this Saturday we are having a few people over to celebrate Ayla coming home. I will be picking her up today, If you could get some of her friends and you of course to come over. I have tons to tell you, you will never believe what I have been through! Miss you....

" Miss you too; I will do that, see you Saturday. I will spend the night and we can talk!"

I got out of the bath and got dressed Jeans, t-shirt and boots, my favorite. I went downstairs.

"I am heading out; I will be back in a few hours."

Nanette was standing in the kitchen with Sue and Harry.

"Do you want me to go with?" asked Sue

"No, Carlisle will be there, I will be fine." I could feel the anxiety from both Sue and Harry. They would have to live with the fact I liked the Cullen's. I looked at them both,

"They are not the enemy, you will see." I hug all three and left. I was too upbeat to let them get me down. I drove with music playing and singing for the first time since the accident; even though it was pouring rain. I was in a really good mood when I got to the hospital. I ran up the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator; I didn't get winded anymore. She had been moved rooms so she was on the 4th floor now. I walked into her room to find the Cullen's there, all 4.

"Wow, I wasn't excepting all of you here." Carlisle stood up,

"I am sorry we are intruding on you time with your sister, We are heading back to Washington and I had a couple of questions. Are you planning on moving to Washington?"

Ayla answered before I could get my thoughts together.

"It looks like we are leaning towards Washington; She found some property next to the reservation; she like the woods, and the thought of being able to be close to her father but still be on her own. We will also be going to forks high; mostly because I want too."

I looked at my sister and she smiled. Alice was smiling also.

"We will have so much fun! I can't wait to introduce you to Bella." Jasper looked like he had to hold her down.

Esme' Smiled, "I would like to offer my help in building you a home on that property."

"I would like that very much." She reminded me of my mom but it didn't make me sad.

Carlisle and the others stood up, " My other question is; would you like our help in learning to control your abilities?"

"Yes, I would like that very much.

" He smiled, "Good, we will see you when you get into town."

As they walked out the door, "Jasper, I would like to talk to you about your ability, I have many questions." He smiled and bowed his head, "Yess ma'am, I look forward to it."

They left and I looked at my sister, "Why?!"

"Because, you were trying to find a way out of it; besides, what's the harm with spending sometime there and then going to see Nanette in Florida during the summer, either way we get to see hot guys."

I picked up the pillow and tossed it at her. she caught it, "You shouldn't hit a concussed patient in the head." I stuck my tongue out at her.

At that moment the nurse walked in, "I have good news, Dr Cullen said your plaster cast gets to be removed from your leg and you get to wear a boot."

An hour later we were in the car and driving home. " Ayla, I need to know if we are selling the house or did you want to keep it?"

"We can sell it, I don't think either of us are coming back here." She turned and looked at me, "Can we go by the cemetery?"

I called Nanette and told her our plans and that we would be home soon. I knew we had a long talk ahead of us when we got home; there was some much Ayla need to know.

After dinner on Friday, Ayla and I sat down with Nanette, Sue and Harry.

"We have talked about it and decided to move to Washington, we will go to Florida during the summer, if that is ok with you, aunt Nanette?"

She smiled, "Yes, I would love to have you come visit as often as you like."

Ayla looked at Sue, "We will be going to forks high school. I want it to feel as normal as possible."

Sue nodded, "I can understand that."

I looked at Harry. "I will be spending time with the Cullen's as well you so I can learn how to use my powers as well as my family and tribal legends. I will be buying some property next to the reservation, so once I graduate I will have my own place. I was planning on collage before, but now I will have to do that later."

Harry looked me in the eyes and stared for a few minutes.

"I will do my best not to let my prejudice over shadow our relationship or that of yours with the Cullen's. Alice Cullen let us know you don't smell like the other wolves and it was obvious they don't smell to you either. Maybe things are changing and I will have to learn to change with them."

Sue held her husband's hand; it was hard for both of them to build this bridge with me. "Thank you."i said asnI got up and hugged them both. It wasn't like hugging mom and dad but it felt nice.

I was helping Ayla to her room when Nanette came up the stairs.

"Sue and Harry are leaving in the morning, they need to get home, if you can't be up by 5 am please go say good bye tonight."

I did as she asked and told them we would be leaving Monday Morning after Ayla's check up.

The next morning I was woken up around 10 am by Salina, her sister Lacy and Ayla. "It's party time!" Salina exclaimed.
