Chapter 2

She was shaking a lot because I was still pointing the paintball gun at her. I realize that she thinks this is a real gun so I pointed the gun at a tree and shot at it. She flinched for a second until she saw the tree and it had a blue spot on it.

"It was a paintball gun?" she asked, confused. I nodded and she sighed in relief. I heard someone coming and I grabbed her and hid behind another tree with her close to me. She was about to say something until I covered her mouth. I looked at her and shook my head hoping she would get the hint to stay quiet. I glanced to see who it was and it was Avery.

"Is she the last one left? No, I believe Rachel is around here somewhere, but if Avery goes down then she will try to make me go down with her, I have to make sure they don't find this human." I don't know why I'm protecting this human but one thing is for sure, I don't want more humans to die. I was about to let go of the human until Avery said something.

"Seth! I know you're here somewhere! Why don't you come out of your hiding spot and finally settle the score." Avery said, smirking a bit. I looked back at the human, put her hood back on her head. She looked confused but I gave her a smile to tell her everything will be alright. I ran away from the tree where we were hiding, and Avery chased after me of course. She was shooting a lot and I kept dogging the paintballs. Avery lost me so I climbed up a tree, Avery was standing in the middle of nowhere looking for me. I had a steady shot until another paintball almost shot me. I jumped out of the tree and landed on the ground pulling another gun pointing it at the person who tried to shoot at me and my other gun was pointing at Avery. I was glaring at her because like I said if Avery goes down then I go down with her.

"I figured you will miss Rachel, you can come out now since she knows where you are." Avery sighed.

Rachel walked out of her hiding spot and sighed as well. "I told you Avery it wouldn't work since you're the better sniper out of the three of us." Rachel pointed her gun at me along with Avery. I glared at both of them, now I'm wondering how to get out of this situation.

"Finally after 6 years we beat you Seth, there is nowhere to run and nowhere to hide." Avery said, smiling. I smirked and I finally came up with a plan. They both shot but then I jumped really high and both of their shots, shot at each other, and shot them as well until they were fully covered in blue.

"Now that was 21 wins and still zero but that was really close." I smirked at them and helped them get up.

"FUCK, I thought we had that one, oh well at least there is still a challenge against you Seth." Avery said while rubbing her head.

"In the end Seth won as always, come on let's go back and tell the class." Rachel said, smiling a bit trying to get some of the blue paint off.

I looked at them signaling to go ahead without me, they got the message, nodded and walked to the school. I went back to the tree where the human was and she was still hiding a bit. I walked up to her until out of nowhere she punched me. I fell down, holding onto my cheek and hissed from the pain. The human took off her hood, realized that it was me and started panicking while trying to help me up a bit.

"I'm sorry! I thought it was someone else and you were really quiet so I didn't know it was you again I'm really sorry!" She said, still panicking a bit putting her hand on my cheek. I felt a spark when she did that. I looked at her closely and I didn't even realize that she was beautiful. Her amber eyes are like gold and it's shining so bright. Her hair was brown but she had sliver ends and she smelled like strawberries with the hint of mint and pine wood. I took her hand off of my cheek and reassured that I was fine and it was nothing to worry about. She looked confused until I took out a notepad and a pen and started writing.

"My name is Seth, if you're wondering why I don't talk it's because I chose not to talk, I haven't talked since I was 12, anyways what are you doing here? And what's your name?" I showed her what I wrote and she was shocked for a bit but then she smiled.

"My name is Allison, I was wondering why you don't talk. Thank you for telling me that I'm here because I need to get into the city and find my friends and family. We kind of got separated after some wolves attacked us. She said looking down.

"I don't think they would be in the city since wolves will either turn you or kill you on the spot since you're human, maybe they went somewhere else you never know." I wrote while sighing a bit. Even though they probably got killed by a beast.

"They have to be here! I don't want to think that a beast got to them or something." She said while shaking again. Without thinking I held her hand and squeezed it a bit to tell her that everything will be fine. She looked at me and we just stared at each other for a bit. I really do mean it when I said she was really beautiful. She was about to say something until I heard Avery and Rachel yelled my name. I wrote to Allison to wait here until I come back later tonight. I wanted to make sure she doesn't die or turn into a wolf. She nodded and said I will wait for you, and smiled at me. I felt something I don't know but for some reason, I want her to smile more. I walked up to Avery and Rachel, they were already out of their combat gear and cleaned up as well.

"Come on Seth, what took you so long? Normally you leave before us." Avery said, confused.

"You would also leave school right away just to see your sister. You know how patrol is." Rachel said with her arms crossed. What Rachel means by that, is that patrol is the riskiest job in the city because there could be a chance where you will die. Sometimes beasts can manage to grab a wolf and bite them. Luckily they kill the beast but the person that got bit. If someone gets bit by a beast, they turn into one in 30 seconds and we kill the person before that happens. That's why I leave before them because I'm scared that will happen to my sister one day.

"Should I tell them about Allison, I mean we have known each other for 6 years but Allison is a human, so I don't know how they would react as well." I was thinking hard about this until I told them that I just wanted some time to myself for a bit before I checked up on Brook. They both looked at each other then back at me. Rachel looks concerned while Avery thinks something is up. We were all silent, well those two were until finally Avery said something.

"Alright Seth we believe you, just make sure you check on your hot sister." Avery said, grinning. I punched her on the shoulder. I know that she is messing around but still I don't want to hear my friends saying that my sister is hot or anyone in general. Rachel also punched her on the shoulder as well. Then Avery started laughing while walking away. Rachel followed her behind with her hands in her pockets. I sighed in relief because they believed me but at the same time I feel bad for lying to them. They were pretty much family at this point, but like I said I don't want Allison to die or turn into a wolf. I walked into the school about to go and change until as usual John and Ethan pushed me in front of the lockers. I'm not going to lie that hurts like a bitch. I was about to get up until John kicked me in the stomach. I really didn't have time for this because I need to go and see my sister. The reason why I don't want to fight back is because I don't want people to be scared of me. Ethan and John wouldn't stop hitting me for a bit and they were saying some shit about me until I heard John say this.

"No wonder why your sister always does patrols, maybe because she wants to turn into a beast and get away from you." He said laughing.

After hearing that everything went dark. John was about to hit me again until I caught his fist. I glared at him and broke his wrist. He screamed in pain. Ethan was about to punch me until I kicked him into the lockers really hard at the point he coughed blood a bit. I kept kicking him until he started shaking, barely moving at all. I started walking up to John, he was crawling back a bit begging for me for forgiveness. I just ignored his begging, grabbed him and threw him out of a window. He screamed again and I went after him. I got on top of him and started punching him nonstop until someone pulled me off of him.

"That's enough Seth, He had enough!" Rachel said, sounding worried. I glared at her but then I looked around and everyone was scared. I forgot that there were still people here but I let my anger control me instead. Avery ran up to us and started yelling at me. I didn't pay attention because I was looking at John. He was barely breathing covered in blood and then I looked at my hands and they were covered in blood.... I almost killed him.
