Chapter 11

It's been 3 days and we were still following the scent and I was going really fast because I really want to see them again. We fought a couple of wolves and beasts on the way here and recently we fought another beast and we thought the beast scratched me but I think I dodge it on time. "Seth, you should slow down a bit!" Allison yelled really loud. I shook my head and we saw 4 figures walking and I realized who it was because the scent was getting stronger! "SASHA! CRYSTAL!" Allison yelled and they turned around and Sasha and Crystal were about to cry. We stopped the bikes and Allison ran up to Sasha and Crystal and they hugged each other. They were crying together and I was smiling at them. Rachel and Avery walked up to us and I was ready for them to yell at me. "I know that we were suppose to meet you at the gate but Dante stopped us and then we jumped into a waterfall and the helmet broke too, then we were running from wolves and rouges for the past 5 days and I probably made you worry so I'm so-" I was interrupted when Avery and Rachel hugged me. "You fucking idiot! You scared us so badly!" Avery yelled, hugging me tighter. "Avery was about to cry if you didn't come back to us soon." Rachel chuckled a bit but she was shaking a bit when she was hugging me including Avery. "She's fucking lying I would never cry for your dumbass, because I still need to beat you." Avery said, laughing a bit. I hugged them back and closed my eyes. I missed these two so much but this hug is getting really hot. Avery and Rachel let me go and they were giving me their worried look. "Seth are you okay? You don't look so good." Avery said, trying not to panic. I nodded but I still felt hot. "Wait, Avery you have blood on your shirt." Rachel said, pointing at Avery. "So do you Rachel...." Avery said slowly. They both looked at me and I looked at my shirt and I had blood too. Their eyes went wide and they were saying my name and my vision was getting blurry and I couldn't stand anymore. I feel like I'm falling until Rachel catches me. They kept repeating my name and I couldn't keep my eyes open. Looks like I didn't dodge on time and everything went dark again.

Rachel's POV

It started raining and we found an abandoned office building. Crystal immediately started to treat Seth's wounds and said that she needed to be alone. "FUCK THIS IS BAD!" Avery yelled, pacing back and forth. "Just calm down Avery everything will be fine, Crystal will help her just like how she did with me" I said calmly while I was bouncing my knee. "Don't tell me to calm down Rachel! We just got her back! And last time I check you were fucking sick and needed medicine which we don't have!" Avery yelled at me again. "CAN ALL OF US CALM DOWN FOR 5 FUCKING SECONDS!" Allison yelled at all of us including Sasha. I heard Sasha muttering saying "uh oh" and I stopped talking. "Oh you're one to talk miss I can't turn into a fucking wolf or beast! She risked her life for you to get you here and you want us to fucking calm down!" Avery walked up to Allison looking like she wanted to fight her. I got up really fast and was holding Avery back.

"You think I'm not fucking worried about her! Well I am because without her we wouldn't get this far to try to make a cure! You think I wanted to be immune to this! I watched people die protecting me! I don't want Seth to die because it will be my fault just like everyone else that protected me! So yeah I'm not scared to turn into a wolf or a beast but I'm scared for the people I care about instead!" Allison yelled at Avery looking like she was about to cry. Sasha got up and was about to comfort her but Allison stormed out of the room and stayed out in the rain. "Really Avery! Look I know that you're worried about Seth but really, you had to call her miss I can't turn into a fucking wolf or beast, I need a cigarette for fuck sakes." Sasha said, rolling her eyes and walking away. "Wait Sasha.." Avery went after Sasha to try to talk to her. Wow looks like Avery is into Sasha but that's going to be a challenge. I sighed and I walked up to Seth's room. I knocked on the door and Crystal said come in.

I opened the door and it looks like Seth is getting worse. "I heard everything out there, are you okay? And I tried the best I could but we really need medicine for this fever." Crystal said while putting a cold towel on Seth's forehead. "Yeah I'm fine, just everyone is worried and stressed out right now." I said holding onto Seth's hand. Seth is breathing really fast and it looks like she is having a nightmare. I let go of her hand and got up. "Where are you going?" Crystal looked at me confused. "I'm getting that medicine, I saw an abandoned hospital on the way here and Seth really needs it." I said grabbing my one handed sword and grabbing some ammo. I was about to leave until Crystal grabbed my wrist "please be safe out there, there might be beasts in that hospital or worse an alpha beast." I got the chills when she mentioned an alpha beast. Those things were twice the size of a regular beast and wolves have an alpha too. We had one in the city until we left and to be honest Brook was alpha material until she died.

"Don't worry Crystal I will be fine and just keep taking care of Seth and make sure everyone doesn't kill each other here." I grabbed my backpack and put it on. Crystal nodded and let go of my wrist. I left the room and put on my hood. I was about to leave until I saw Allison still standing there and it looked like she was crying. Before I left I walked up to her and handed her tissues. She took the tissues and wiped her eyes with them. "You know normally Avery isn't like that. She's normally just joking around but Seth is like her little sister and it's been a while since she was like this. Last time she was like this was when Seth was really sick a year ago." I said leaning on the wall. "She was telling the truth, Rachel. I'm not worried about myself turning into a wolf or a beast and Seth risked her life for mine just to get me here. She literally tossed me over a cliff and almost died when we jumped over a waterfall. I had to perform CPR on her for fuck sakes." She said while shaking her head and was looking down.

"Seth is always like that, when we were 14 she had to save Avery so many times and took a lot of beatings from these two guys that would always test Seth's patience all the time. Seth is a fighter and she will be fine." I said looking at Crystal. "You're right Rachel, thank you for listening to me. It really helped me out." She said, smiling at me. I nodded and gave her a quick hug. "Now tell Sasha and Avery that I'm going to the hospital to find medicine for Seth, I will be back in 20 minutes." Allison nodded and I started walking to the hospital. It took me 10 minutes to get to the hospital because I had to avoid wolves to get there. I walked into the hospital and this hospital is super creepy when it's abandoned.

It was dark and the rain didn't help either. I pulled out a flashlight and started walking around slowly. I looked around the area for 30 minutes until I finally found something. I opened the door slowly and I saw at least 10 bottles of medicine. "Yes!" I whispered and ran to the medicine and put it away in my backpack. I left the room and headed to the exit until I saw something at the exit. It was an alpha beast and I can't take on that thing by myself so I have to try to run around it. I was looking around to see if I could find an opening. I couldn't find an opening at all. Fuck think Rachel what would Seth or Avery do! I saw an unbroken window and I just came up with a plan. I picked up a rock and threw a rock at the window. The beast looked at the direction and started running to the noise. I ran out of the hospital and won't stop running until I get back to everyone. I got back and I was breathing heavily. I'm just glad I got here in one piece because I honestly thought that alpha would get me.

I took off my hood and I saw Sasha reading a book and Avery was cleaning her sniper. "Where's Allison?" I said, trying to catch my breath. "She's with Seth and Crystal, are you okay Rae?" Avery said putting down her sniper and was about to get up. "Yeah I'm fine! I got medicine for Seth." I said walking to Seth's room. I opened the door and Crystal was still taking care of Seth and Allison was sleeping next to Seth while holding her hand. It looks like Seth isn't having a nightmare anymore. I smiled and Crystal hugged me. "I told you I would be fine" I hugged her back and handed her the medicine." I never doubted you" Crystal said, smiling at me. She sat back down to Seth and gently gave her the medicine. Seth wasn't breathing fast anymore and she isn't sweating that much anymore. I signed with relief and sat down next to Crystal. I laid my head on her shoulder. "Are you okay Rachel?" Crystal said, sounding worried. "I almost ran into an alpha beast on the way back, I was scared, Crystal." I said, closing my eyes. She rested her head on top of my head. "Well I'm glad you're here, safe and didn't run into it because we need you Rachel." I smiled a bit and thought to myself "Like how I need you now." I slowly fell asleep on her shoulder.
