Clarke, Lexa, Anya, Axel and indra rode their horses into the night, following the two wolfs that came in for help. The wolfs ran into the direction Ace went in, with the warriors close behind them.

After a few minutes of running, they came to a slow stop. In the distance, they saw a light. Like a fire, they stalked closer to the source to find Ace being taken hostage by ice Nation.

"Ice Nation..." Anya said with venom, hatred in her eyes as she stared at them. Axel stood in shock at his sister, the one person he held so close but was believed she was dead.

Ace was trying to put up a fight, trying to wiggle out of the ropes but it was too no use. They made her hands tied together extra tight to make sure she doesn't use her abilities.

"We need a plan." Clarke said, as she scanned the warriors. "Maybe, we can lead them away."

"No, we kill them." Lexa said, turning her head to look at Clarke. She looked at her in disbelief.

"Think about it, Clarke. Nobody knows Ace is alive. Only us and now them. If we kill them, they can't tell anyone Ace is alive." Lexa explained, everyone made the connection.

Indra grabbed her bone and a arrow, she looked over at Lexa who nodded. Indra aims and shoots, hitting one of the ice nation warriors in the neck, killing him but alarming the others.

Lexa ran out of the trees with the others behind her, each running to one of the warriors.

Anya pulled out her sword and stabbed one of the warriors before he had managed to pull out his sword. The warrior cried out in pain, before Anya stabbed him in the heart killing him instantly.

They fought and killed the ice nation warriors, coming out okay, Axel has a slice on his arm as Clarke had a gash on her forehead. Axel ran to Ace and untied her before they hugged, tightly. Both crying happily to see each other again.

"I thought I lost you." Axel cried into his sister shoulder, she smiled as she hugged him tighter.

"Lost me? You're insane." She said with a chuckle, as she sniffled. They pulled apart but still held hands as if they were both afraid of they let go, the other will vanish, like they were never there in the first place.

Lexa walked up to Ace, The smaller girl behind to get nervous. She had no idea what they were gonna say, the last time she had came face to face with an fimilar face, she had failed to save hundreds of people.

Lexa walked over to the girl, slowly bent down to her knees. Lexa hugged Ace tightly, Ace was completely shocked but hugged the girl back. Everyone hugged the girl, happy to see her. Way off from what Ace would expect.

The last one that hugged her was Clarke, she slowly embraced the girl as tears flowed down her cheeks, "I'm so sorry," she said, Ace embraced the girl back, quite confused on why she had said sorry.

"Why are you sorry?" Ace asked as they pulled apart from the hug, Clarke looked at her as another tear fell from her pale blue eyes.

"If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have tried to stop the bomb and you wouldn't have ran off." Clarke said, Ace sighed.

"It wasn't your fault, its mine. I was the one that told Ace to try an stop it. I'm sorry Ace, but never lie to me again." Axel said, sighing a bit.

"I forgive you both, even if it wasn't your fault and I won't lie to you again, I promise." Ace said, hugging Axel once more who hugged back tightly.

"Lets get back to polis, back to where its safe." Anya said as they noticed the sun was about to rise. They begin their journey back to polis, Ace's mind becoming heavy with worry, shes worried about seeing everyone that she had left behind.

Axel grabbed his sister's hand, sending her a small smile. He managed to calm her worry and nerves just a bit. She felt happy that he isn't mad or upset at her, that they didn't have to change.

"Ace, you know, you did all that you can right?" Axel whispered to her, Ace looked at him but Axel didn't look at her.

"I feel lik-" Ace started but was cut off by Axel, "that you could've done more? Ace it isn't about doing more or doing less, its about pushing forward. We accept that it happened and not wonder why or how it did. It'll just give us more questions with no answer and It'll drive us crazy." Axel said to her, fighting his grip on his hand just a bit. Not enough to hurt her, but letting her know that he's there, that he's still there, always has been and always will be.

Ace smiled, "thanks big brother." She said to him, Axel smiled back and nodded his head.

"Of course, little sister." Axel replied.

Ace's wolfs came out of the woods and joined the twins on their walk, Star next to Ace and Moon next to Axel.

Ace looked up at Lexa who was riding her horse, everyone's else's horses was ties up to her horse being led back to polis.

"Is there anything you need from your cave before we get to polis, Ace?" Lexa said, Ace looked at the cave she had been hiding in for quite awhile before looking at her bag. She shook her head no before the group continued on walking.

After an hour or two, the group finally arrived back at the gates of polis. Ace stopped, her nerves and worry becoming worse as they finally arrived at the gate.

Axel stopped after noticing Ace had stopped, he turned and looked at her, he offered his hand silently, Ace looked at his hand before taking a breathe, she grabbed it.

One step at a time.
