Chapter 5- Star Night

DAWN

"Your our only hope-" the angelic voice once again had appeared on my dreams, "we believe in you,".

"I love you, and I'll never leave you-" a familiar voice of a guy suddenly appears, I could see a blur of my hands holding his, it was so soft and warm, I felt like I was safe, home, and loved. The image slowly faded as I gently gain my consciousness back. 

"Jencks?" I called out as he turned around while taking a seat next to me on my bed. "What happened?" I asked him as he helped me up to sit properly on the bed. "You fainted, again, what's going on Dawn? you've been passing out a lot today, Miss Paula said that you don't even have a fever or something" he asked worriedly. "I think it's because of the shock I'm feeling by all the events that happened today, no big deal" I laughed it out. "You're sure?" he made sure. "Yes, Kuya" I made certain to him, but, in reality, I just don't want him to worry, especially now he made me believe that he has a big responsibility because he is a knight, after all.

Jencks stood up and headed to the door, "She's awake now," he said as Linette and Prince Cal rushed in to checked if I was fine, and they were followed by Louis and Alvar, "Dawn! You scared me there! Are you okay?" Linette said as she checks my head if it was hot, "I'm fine, Li- " suddenly I was disturbed by Prince Cal, "I greatly apologize that I didn't do anything to save you and that I didn't do my best to keep you safe..." 

"It's not your fault Prince Cal, and I'm sorry for worrying you two," I said to them, "We were worried as well," Louis suddenly said as he raised his hand, "Ohh! Sorry, and thank you for saving me, but-" I stopped when I remembered that she said she was looking for me, but why? "Can I ask you guys something?" I continued. 

Jencks, Cal, Louis, and Alvar, looked at each other, worriedly, "Certainly," Louis said as everyone started to stare at me. "Who was that girl? and why did she said that she was looking for me?" I straight away asked them. "We're not sure yet, but, all we know is that she is a one-of-a-kind Dimaya," Jencks answered my question, but, it only raised more, "What is a Dimaya?" 

"A Dimaya is anyone that processes magical powers, that girl who almost got you is a Blacklight user, they have rare magic just like the Brightlight magic and the Sophrosyne magic or also known as Balance magic. These three are the strongest of all magic, and maybe also the source of all of it." Louis explained, I soon remembered that a bright light went out of my palm at the market. "Wait, then what kind of magic do I have? A light suddenly came out from my palm when we were at the market, does that mean I'm a-" I stop as Alvar continued, "A Brightlighter"

I can't believe what I just heard, me? A rare Dimaya? That may be the reason why that girl was trying to capture me, just as my life seems weirder and dangerous enough. 

"Now you know that you are unique and important from everyone else, you must be ready to face her again," Louis said, "What? I'm going to fight her? She almost got me! How on earth could I fight her!? This is crazy!" I shouted with fear in my eyes. "But you have to!" Prince Cal said as I could also see fear in his eyes, I cleared my throat and said, "But I...can't..."

"But-" Prince Cal was supposed to talk until Jencks stopped him, "I think, she needs time to rest, for now, Miss Paula will check you out tomorrow, okay?" he said as he escorted them out of the room, I nodded as Linette waved goodbye. 

I couldn't bear to sleep at this point, knowing that I should be in that situation again, scares me, I may even die without seeing my mom and dad. I still have a lot to experience, I didn't even have a boyfriend, or go to college, or get a job, and have my own family. Okay, I know I'm overreacting, but it's still frightening, I can't even control my powers now, do they even know that I'm a slow learner?!
