Dawn Dizon: The Fantasy Dream Come True

Chapter 13

DAWN

      After a long day back at school, Linette, Noelle, and Cal, together with Alvar headed outside the school gate. "What are we doing here?" Linette asked.

     " Alvar said to meet us here," Cal answered as we saw Alvar coming out from the teacher's building. "He's late like you were for our first class this morning, Dawn," he joked around as they all laughed, while I turned my face behind them, crossing both my arms.

  "I apologize to keep everyone waiting," Alvar said as he walks towards us,

     "It's fine, but, why did you tell us to wait here?" I asked confusedly. Alvar then suddenly walked to the gate and stood for a second before taking some small marbles from his bag, and threw it to the floor, then instantly a white portal that had blue flames around it, opened. 

     "Now, let us make haste" Alvar said as he goes into the portal. We all looked at each other for a while, because we were not sure if it was safe, but then Cal joyfully rushed in. As Noelle followed then Linette, while I was still hesitant. All of a sudden Alvar stepped out of the portal, "Is there something wrong, Dawn?" he asked worriedly. 

     "Oh, no I'm just-" I tried to lie,

     Immediately Alvar reached out his hand and said, "You do not have anything to be scared of," he made sure, "Here, just hold on me" 

     "Okay..." I answered as reached for his hands, holding him tight while shutting my eyes, as we both crossed the portal, I could feel a warm breeze through my shoulders, and sunlight shining to my closed eyes. I finally opened my eyes to a beautiful and warm view of a forest, tall green trees around with birds flying around. There were small mammals like rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, and chipmunks, while large mammals were present as well, like deers, bears, bobcats, mooses, and more. I let go of a sincere smile, the air was fresh and butterflies just make the view even glorious. "It's beautiful," I said while still looking around.

     "Definitely," Alvar said, I accidentally caught him looking at me with a slight smirk, then immediately his face turned to a tall guy with white long hair, he looks similar to Alvar, but much older, pointy ears and wears a white robe with green grass at it's ending, he also wears a crown made of mini green leaves and brown branches.

    I suddenly realized that Alvar was still holding my hand, "Um... Alvar?" I called, 

     He turned to me and realized right away, he quickly lets go of my hand, so did I. I instantly turned away and walked forward to Linette with my red tomato face, while Linette giggles and teases me,

    "Alvar?" she mocks me.

    "Linette, stop it" I whispered to her,

    "I genuinely appreciate you letting us train here," Alvar thanked him, as he shakes hands with him, they seem close.

     "It's my pleasure," he replied,

     He later looked at me, then turned around at once. He slowly led towards Alvar and whispered something. Alvar nodded. Why did he straight away turn with he saw me?  Or am I just overreacting? The man seems troubled about something. "Well, I must make haste, let us go now..." as he said those words, every animal at sight walked away into the woods, it's almost like they understood him. 

     "Once again, we are grateful," Cal said with a sweet smile as we waved and smiled at him as well. 

     He bowed to Cal and waved at us with a clean smile, but, no teeth were exposed.

   "Now then, may we start?" Cal said at once. Alvar nods and takes his place. I could feel Cal's excitement, he just can't wait to show Alvar his new move, that he keeps telling us about. Alvar right away shots an arrow towards him to target him but Cal was able to avoid it.
