Chapter 9

JENCKS

"You finally showed up again," I said as I rubbed a magic potion dust on my shoes that would help me fly up to her. "We've been waiting for you," Louis then did the same while the other guards escorted the citizens out to safety. 

"Ohhh? you have? Do you really miss me that bad?" the Blacklight user said as she took flight up above us. 

"Tolle Fuga!" I and Louis shouted out as we both flew up to face her again.

"Awww, you been preparing for our meet-up, how cute," she said as she blasted a black light from her palm, trying to attack us, but, we've been practicing these past few months on how to dodge her attacks and control our shoes from flying.

"So, you are prepared, huh? Let's see if you could dodge this!" she said as she blasts multiple dark energy balls towards us. Luckily we managed to dodge it quickly until other knights try to fly up as well.

"Not so fast," she suddenly said while blasting a dark shadow to the ground that pulled down all the knights, preventing them from going up. "Now, you're all not being fair, huh?" 

"Let them go!" I screamed as I rushed towards her, holding a long, slightly curved blade with one end pointed and the other fixed in a gold and white hilt handle. I almost hit her, but, she avoided my attack.

"Nice try,"  she said in a sarcastic way while she instantly vanished and reappear on my back at the speed of light, "But, try harder," she attacked me from my back with a dark energy blast, which made me fall to the ground. 

"Jencks!" I heard Louis screamed as I was falling down, catching me on the process and finally laying me down on the ground. "Are you okay?"

"Y-yes... I just-" I answered him while trying to catch my breath. 

Louis then flew up with a serious face and anger all over his eyes. "That's it! " he said as he took out his sword and aimed it at her, "Owen! Ron! Now!" he ordered them as Owen blasts some of his lightning magic on Louis's sword while Ron did the same thing with his fire magic, which made Louis's sword way more powerful because of the two elements that it currently contains on his sword. He took all his energy and rushed towards her at full speed, making his sword aiming at her, she got hit and it made a powerful blast that made her fall into the audience's beaches, it also made the shadows disappear, freeing the Knights.

"Ow... What a smart move, it's amazing that your sword can restain two different magic, don't get me wrong," she said while giving out a smirk as she carefully gets up, "It really made you powerful... but, without magic, you and sword are just useless!" 

"Louis! Look out!" I tried to warn him but it was too late, the dark light coming from both her hands released a strong blast on him, making him falling fast down, until, Cal and Alvar saved him and laid him next to me.

"Cal, heal them," Alvar said.

"Wait, what will you do?" Cal suddenly asked Alvar as he reached his bag, trying to find a healing potion.

"I and she had an unfinished business" he answered while rubbing his flight potion on his shoes and said, "Tolle Fuga" which made him fly up instantly. 

"Captain J, Captain Louis, should we be going up as well? Helping  Sir Alvar?!" Ron worriedly said.

"No! Stand down, just take cover and help those other knights that got hurt," I ordered them.

"But Cap-" Owen tried to argue.

"Just wait for our next command,"  I convinced him.

"Yes Captain J!" they both said while they saluted and went away.

"I can't find any healing potion," Cal panics as he tries to find it again.

"Cal, are you sure?" I said worriedly, I took a quick glance at Louis, "Cal, find it already! Louis is looking so pale!" 

"Try this," suddenly Noelle said, coming out of nowhere, as she handed a healing potion to Cal.

"Noelle!" Cal and I instantly called out,

"What are you doing here?! You shouldn't be here, it's dangerous," I told her as Cal took the potion and healed Louis. "You need to get out of here,"

"Sorry, but, you don't really know me," she said as she stood up, "I don't really like listening to orders," she then took a familiar potion and rubbed it on her shoes.

"Wait, he has a point... that dimaya is dangerous, you can't handle her," Cal suddenly said, worried that she'll get hurt, as he took her wrist. 

"We both know that nothing can stop me..." Noelle said with confidence, as Cal stared at her for a second and then gently lets go of her. She took a quick glance at Alvar and the blacklight user and back at me and Cal, "You two just have to trust me... Tolle Fuga!" she said as she flew up next to Alvar.

"Wait, how could she-" I  said as I look for my flight potion in my pocket, I finally released that it was gone, she must have taken it, it explains ut, on my knowledge I, Louis, Cal, Alvar, and our other knights were the only ones who knew about the flight potion, and not any other student. The Flight potion was created by Alvar, himself, just a few days after the fight on the opening ball. For a new student to know how to use it by just observing us a while ago has a really advance learning technique. She's off the charts! 

"S-she seems to know what she's doing,"  I told Cal while trying to ignore the pain, the blacklight user really hit my shoulder bad, we need to stop her before she hurts someone else.

Cal nodded and said, "I just hope she doesn't get overwhelmed..." 

"Why? W-What do you mean?" I asked him as he  finished healing Louis and switched to me

"The last time she got too overwhelmed, the whole classroom flooded," he said while applying healing potion on me, "She then freaked out, freezing her flood plus everyone on it, luckily one of the elite dimaya was near and he melted all the ice using his fire magic before it was too late," Cal continued.

"What?! She's a Dimaya?" I asked him, she must have water magic, then, she's from the Koldern kingdom. 

"Wait-!" I suddenly realized,

"Was my sister among those students?!" I instantly asked, 

"You have nothing to worry about, that was the only class we didn't have with Noelle, she said it was requested by her father," Cal made sure, "I only heard them from Noelle's classmates," Cal clarified.

"You heard that Louis? You need to wake up quick," I said to the unconscious Louis, "And Cal, heal me quick, so we could help them out,"  I then said, 

"For  the meanwhile... let's just hope Alvar and Noelle could handle her by themselves for a while,"
