DAWN

I and Cal went to our first class, astronomy. We all introduced ourselves to the class and to our teacher, Miss Vanessa, who taught us really well, yet, I didn't really get it all. I never was an academic nerd, I'm more an extracurricular activities person. She taught us how to read the stars at night and tell if the stars are trying to tell a message to all who spot them. I could notice that Cal was not that interested in the topic, for me, it's really interesting because I don't really have any knowledge about this world. So, learning about it is exciting.

"That will be all for today, any questions?" Miss Vanessa asked us as we heard the bell ring, it rang with a fairy dust sound. "Well, there's the bell-," she said as everyone pick up their bags ready to get out of class to move to the next one, "Goodbye and welcome again to Litber's Canterlot High, freshmens!" she continued.

"Thank you, Miss Vanessa" I thanked her as I exited the room with Cal, "Oh," she was surprised, "It's my honor, Dawn," she continued as she bowed soon as Cal passed by.

"What was that?" I asked him with confusion, "Oh sorry, she just wanted to show respect, I'm quite used to it," he answered as we headed to the next class. "I do understand that your a prince, but still, she's our teacher and older than us, we should be the one showing respect to her," I told him as he looked surprised, " No one ever told me that, thus, you do have a point-," he said as he agreed with my statement, "Okay! From now on, I won't let teachers bow at me when I'm at school". Well, I didn't mean teachers only, but, that's okay for now I guess, baby steps.

We got inside a classroom on the fourth floor that had a Laboratory sign on the wooden door. "Science class?" I wondered, "Short of," Cal said as we took our seats in the front row.

"What do you mean?" I asked him, "Potions, the hardest of all if you ask me," he answered as a tall pale man with pointy ears and white long hair styled as a neat half-bun, wearing a white formal polo and khaki dark blue pants, I then realized that it was Alvar.

"Hey Alvar! I didn't know that your teaching freshmen?" Cal said as he stood up from his chair.

"Cal, we're at school," he whispered to him as Cal slowly sat down, "Not you too! You and Dawn do really think similar." Cal said as he crossed his arms. I and Alvar glanced at each other, making us have eye contact, I suddenly felt a single beat from my heart, but then we looked away.

"Um, let us start our class," Alvar started this class, "I am Sir Lightstar and I will be your potions teacher," he said as a student suddenly raised her hand, "Yes?" he allowed her to talk. Everyone looked at the back to see who is asking, and, I immediately noticed that it was Noelle. "Sir, may I ask if you were the one who defended the Darklight user yesterday night?" she asked.

Everyone instantly whispered at each other, "She's right it's him", "Someone who can defeat a light user?", "Wow, I can't wait to learn from him", "What if the Darklight user comes to us because we know him?", "His kind of cute", "An elf is going to save us?", many whispers were raining around the room until Alvar slammed the smartboard.

"That's enough," he said as he took a deep breath, "First, I didn't do it alone, my friends and my knowledge was the one who defeated her, Second, we may save last night, but I don't guarantee that next time will be easy,  and Third that topic is not related to our subject." He said as he took another deep breath, "Any more questions?" almost all of his students rapidly raised their hands    "That is related to our subject?" then all hands were immediately sent down. "hm I see.." he said with a low calm voice. "So, Our lesson for today is The Introduction of Potions can anyone tell me about-" I couldn't really cornerstone about what he was saying because I was more curious about why he didn't want to talk about the attack that happened last night.

After our class with Alvar, We headed straight to the cafeteria "Dawn, let us now go and get lunch" Cal asked as we arrive at the cafeteria then we took our trays and bought our lunch, and started looking for a table. "Cal, come sit over here," Said a tall girl with naturally tanned skin that also has big almond-shaped eyes that come in an array of sparkling colors, with hourglass figures that make our uniform look immensely fit. "Who's that?" I asked Cal with a curious tone. "I appreciate your invitation but unfortunately I must deny it because I will be accompanying Linette and Dawn to another table," he said with a smile as he pulled me away in the opposite direction.

"Hey Cal, Dawn, over here!" Linette said as she raised up from her chair and waved at us. "Come on let's go, Dawn," he said as he pulled me in Linette's direction. While Cal and Lenitte were talking at the table, the thought of Cal not answering my questions was the only thing on my mind. I collect my courage and asked him again, " Cal, who was she?."

"You mean Zaina?" he asked as if I would know the answer, "She's a family friend of mine and Linette," he continued. "She WAS our friend," Linette said as she rolled her eyes.

"What do you mean? was?" I asked them full of curiosity, "Until she treated me like a nobody and told all my embarrassing secrets to the whole school." Linette said almost turning her eyes red as chili with anger.

"Come on Linette, that was like so long ago" Cal immediately stepped in the convocation to calm down the vibe. "Easy for you to say, you didn't have to go to school at the same time as she-," Linette answered him, " Thus, everyone knows that she likes you since 1st grade," she continued.

"Well, we also know that she only likes me because I'm the prince, right?" Cal said, "I can't really find a girl who doesn't care if I'm a prince, and expect you two..." he said as he bowed his head while I and Linette looked at each other, giggling, "Don't worry Cal, we know you'll found someone, somewhere, sometime, someday..." I said as we tried to stop our laughs, " Don't get so worked up, Lover boy," Linette added.

Cal's sad face was slowly washed away and was replaced by a little smirk, he then gently raised his head, "Noelle!" he suddenly called her out. We straight away looked in his direction, "Over here! here!" he kept screaming while I and Linette waved our hands at her.
