Distance❤ : we came close but the distances never reduced

Part 23

"AAA" Ashika was startled hearing unplanned deep voice. Her shock was visible in her movement because of which she almost fell from the ladder. 

Both her hands were caught by Jai and he pulled her towards himself. They were lost in each others eyes as there chest collided. After a good second of eye lock, they were alarmed after hearing some glasses clinging showing that  someone was awake. 

Jai: What are you doing here, at this hour

Ashika: I am- should I tell you standing here?

Jai softly rolls his eyes and pulls her inside the kitchen.

Ashika softly jumped and found herself in a clean big Kitchen

Ashika: nice Kitchen. She started touring the kitchen

Jai: House tour baad mein lele na!

Ashika: geez chill

Jai: You are here at this hour, with only me... no I am not going to chill

Ashika: o god you are such a fattu

Jai: I-

Bhabi: Jai r u there

Ashika: shit

Ashika goes and hides behind the fridge

Jai: ji bhabhi

Bhabi: who are you talking to 

Jai: umm.. myself bhabhi. I was hungry I thought of grabbing something and so I was wondering what I should have

Bhabhi: oh should I call up the cook

Jai: no bhabhi. you should go sleep

Bhabhi: why are u so nervous 

Jai: UMM. I am nervous for you bhabhs. You need your beauty sleep, you are already starting to develop dark circles

Bhabhi: Oh no

*hehe* Ashika was chortling behind the fridge

Bhabhi: what was that?

Jai: umm. what

Bhabi: that snicker

Jai: I think your ears ringing due to lack of sleep

Bhabhi: maybe i will go sleep!!

As Bhabhi leaves Jai gives Ashika a glare

Ashika was covering her mouth to control her laughter

Jai mocking her: hehe

Ashika bursted out of laughter after the mockery: bahahaha

Jai: shh

Ashika placed her finger over her lips: sorry

Ashika: beauty sleep? haha

Jai: Shut up

Ashika was still laughing

Jai: is this what you came for?

Ashika: umm no?

Jai glared and signed her to continue

Ashika: umm

Ashika thinking: mein boldo? kya bolon

Ashika started walking around the kitchen and fiddling with spoons

Ashika: umm your house is nice

Jai: You havent seen it before?

Ashika:  nope

Jai: I will give you a house tour later. First tell me. Is this what you were trying to say earlier

Ashika: yeah!! nice ladle 

Jai: what? Ashi tell me

Ashika thinking: kal speech tayiyaar kar ke laana tab bataane aaj nhi

Ashika: kuch nhi mein tau aise hi aayi thi

Restless Jai turned her to face him and then pulled her up and placed her on the shelf.

Jai placed both his hands beside her so she couldn't escape

Jai: 🤨

Ashika: tumse confirmation leni thi?

Jai stood on his feet: confirmation?

Jai leaned to the shelf parallel and Ashika made herself comfortable sitting cross-legged.

Ashika: you know we have only known each other for a month well a little more than that but you know- (Jai was glaring her with a questioning look) You do know

Jai: would you stop twisting it up

Ashika: shh pay attention

Ashika: so we don't know each other that well so... you know.

Jai: go on

Ashika: there are things about me you still don't know. Which may or may not affect the relationship

Jai: umm.. There are secrets and stuff with me too so you don't really have to worry about it.

Ashika: No you don't get it...

Jai thinking: Kind of do!!!!!

Ashika: what if you get mad at my secret

Jai: I am gonna be your husband not your owner. you are still an individual and its your right to privacy.

Ashika gave him a big relieved smile

Jai: hope it is both ways!!

Ashika: of course

Jai thinking: I hope she doesn't have too high expectations from me!

Jai: Umm Ashika i, too, have secrets none of them are meant to hurt you.. 

Ashika: yh neither are mine

she said cutely nodding her head.

They talked to each other about how they are and will be friends, some guidelines and about their relationship

Ashika then looked at the clock and decided to take a leave.

Jai: How are you gonna go?

Ashika: Rickshaw

Jai: Who drives rickshaw this late

Ashika: umm its fine ill manage

Jai: No way! I will drop you

Ashika: that is not required

Jai: I am not asking you, I am telling. Lets go

Ashika follows Jai to downstairs, them tiptoeing throughout the big mansion was creepy for Ashika but she became fine cause' she knew everyone and she was with Jai.

"Jai is that you again"

Bhabhi was still awake and roaming around to retrieve her sleep

Jai pulled Ashika behind the staircase and hid their, ducking down. 

Bhabhi: are my ears truly ringing?

Bhabhi: I am just sleep deprived. Beauty sleep

The last words cracked Ashika and she started chuckling.
