The strange people transferred us to an actual net with holes made of metal links. Then, they hung us over a fire. I heard my partner let out a small yelp. Wow. I never imagined Nancy ever being afraid of anything really. Anyways, I saw my sword still stuck in its awkward position. The men's backs were turned to us, and they were speaking some language that Nancy and I didn't recognize. I assumed they wanted to cook us for dinner. I screamed at them, "LETS US GO. RIGHT NOW!" in my most intimidating voice, but it's hard to be intimidating when you're tied up in a net and about to be cooked.
One of the guys came up close and Nancy poked through one of the holes and stabbed his eye. He shrieked and fell into the fire. The rest of the tribe shook their heads and walked away. They seemed like they were gonna be gone for a while, so I took this as an opportunity to devise a plan with my partner. "So," I started. "Got any ideas?"
Nancy shook her head. After a while, she brightened up. "Hey! Why don't we try to get closer to the fire?"
"Why would we need to- Oh! So the metal on the net can melt!"
Nancy nodded.
"But once the metal melts, won't WE fall into the fire?" I questioned.
She shrugged. "It's the only option we have, so it's worth a try, right?"
"Yeah, I guess. Let's do this!"
We shift around and around in the net until we finally get it to go down towards the fire. The flames melted the metal and as I suspected, WE fell into the fire. The last thing I saw was the short people standing by, watching us in shock.
