As I was about to attack, Cassandra Lemay sliced my arm with a silver sword. I didn't think much of it... untillll I got sucked into it. It felt as if a vacuum was sucking me into it. Once I was fully siphoned into it, I was surrounded by a metallic silver colored wall. It blinded my eyes. I ran over to the surface and banged on it. "LET ME OUT!" I screamed as it echoed.
"You," a voice behind me said.
I turned around quickly to see a figure in a dark cloak, holding a scythe. His face was hidden by his hood. He pointed at me. "I sliced your arm, didn't I?"
I frowned. "No, I don't ever recall meeting you."
"I could've sworn I cut your arm with my scythe."
"Well, you're delusional."
Then to my side, a man with messy red hair and a shaggy beard waved at me. "Come to die?" he asked.
I scowled and crouched down. "I'll kill you first before you can hurt me."
He chuckled. "Just joking. We're all dead already!"
My eyes grew big. "What? This can't be. This ruins everything!"
The man in a dark cloak hissed. "We're not dead, we're still alive. Just trapped."
"Trapped where?"
"This sword. Didn't you see the blonde girl slash at you?"
"Yes... but it was only my arm."
"Still sucked you in like a cold drink."
I made an angry face and clawed at the walls desperately, but it didn't budge. "How do I get out of this stinking hole?"
"You cannot! You're stuck with us," piped up the hobo-looking man.
"I refuse to believe that. I cannot spend my days imprisoned in this hell!"
And just as I said that, I felt the same sucking feeling in my gut but this time when it stopped, I arrived tied to a chair. My weapons were far away from me, out of my reach. A boy with soft brown hair and warm golden-brown eyes and a girl with blonde and blue hair stared at me, weapons ready. I growled at them. "Untie me! NOW!"
Cassandra Lemay clenched her jaw. "No. Not unless you give us back the real Nancy Bennett. First of all, who even are you? WHAT even are you?"
"I am not a 'what'," I spat. "And I am Nancy Bennett, but stronger."
"If you were her, then you wouldn't have lashed out at us," spoke up the fluffy haired boy.
"Maybe you should shut up, because I don't even know who you are."
"Exactly. You're definitely not Nancy because she could never forget me. Not the things we did."
The blonde girl raised a suspicious eyebrow at him but he didn't seem to notice. "Okay... what's your name, boy. You may prove useful in my plan."
"Liam. And what 'plan'?"
"Oh, none of your business. Although I might tell you if you release me," I sang.
Cassandra rolled her eyes. "Not a chance, crazy. Now tell me, where's Nancy? The REAL one."
I shrugged. "Why should I tell you?"
"Because if you don't, you'll get my hand to your cheek."
"Sounds pleasa-"
I was cut off by a slap. "OW!" I erupted.
"TELL US!" shouted Liam.
"No! I can handle another sla-"
This time another slap hit my cheek. And it was harder. "Stop that!" I complained.
"Only if you tell us."
As Cassandra raised her hand to do another, I reeled away. "Okay, okay! I'm using her body."
Both the blonde and the boy with pretty eyes stared at each other. "What do you mean 'using' her body?" questioned Cassandra.
"I'm in it. She's my host. I need it to get around."
"Then get out of it, creep," demanded Liam.
"No way! I need it to fulfil my plan."
Suddenly, the blonde girl's face lit up. She grabbed my host's so-called friend and pulled him out of earshot. They spoke in hushed tones and when Cassandra was done explaining, Liam nodded in understanding. They walked over to me and the boy with soft hair pulled out something from his pocket and showed it to me. I squinted so I could see better. It looked like my host. And Liam. With his arms wrapped around her. Wait a minute... was this her betrothed?? I had to have a talk with her once I was let go. I raised my eyebrows. "Cool," I said bored.
He scowled. "This is us, Nancy. On your last birthday. You turned an adult. Don't you remember?"
I shrugged. "I'm not her."
"Y-you just said you were like, a few minutes ago!"
"Yeah, in the future. Not NOW. I'm just using her meat bag!"
He blinked at me a few times. He reached into his pocket again and revealed another picture. This one was of Nancy leaning on Liam's chest, her eyes closed and a small smile spread on her lips. "This one?" he asked me.
I chuckled. "I don't know what you're trying to do, but it's not doing anything. All I see is you and my host cuddling up to each other."
The boy with brown eyes turned around frustrated to Cassandra. "This isn't working," he said under his breath.
She shrugged. "This is my only idea! You have any more photos?"
He nodded. He pulled out a picture of Nancy holding his chin while biting her bottom lip. I stared at it a bit longer this time. It seemed... familiar. But I held that emotion back. I shook my head. "Nope. All of it's unfamiliar."
He let out a devastated sigh. Then he pulled another one out of his pocket and the sight of it made me gasp. It was a picture of them kissing, her arms wrapped around his neck and his hands around her waist. She looked so happy. Both of them looked happy. I let out a choked sob and I saw the color return to my hands. I gasped at it. I was me, or at least I thought I was. The REAL me. I stared into Liam's eyes. "Help me..." I whispered.
And then evil Nance took control again. I snapped my teeth at the boy with brown eyes. He jerked back as he watched my skin turn gray again. I smirked. "You're not getting anything out of me!" I turned to Cassandra Lemay. "Just give up."
She shook her head. "No. Not when we just saw the real Nancy peek through! She's in there and we know it." She nodded at Liam. "Continue."
He pulled out another picture, this one of them sitting on a bench, Liam's arm around Nancy's shoulders. I knit my eyebrows together, trying to hold back Nancy Bennett. But she was too strong. I shone through. "Guys! I can't hold this very long, but the void." I stared into my partner's purple eyes. "The void. Go there. And the mirror! You have to br-"
Before I could finish, the evil side of me took over. "ENOUGH!" I yelled.
But the fluffy haired boy put all the photos away back into his pocket. "That was all we needed."
Cassandra nodded. "Thanks, Nance. Good work."
