I woke up in the infirmary, a bright light shining on my face into my eyes. I hissed and turned my head away from it. Suddenly, a guy off to my left clutching my hand shot up to his feet and towered over me. "You're not asleep!" he cried.
He knelt down and hugged me hard. I yelped in pain and he pulled away. "Sorry. Too hard?" he asked.
I smiled up at him as I ran my free hand through his brown silky hair. "Nope, just perfect, Liam," I said under my breath.
He grinned and leaned down to kiss me when suddenly, a familiar face in the doorway appeared. Her face immediately brightened at the sight of me being awake. She trotted up to me and squealed with happiness. "You're alive!"
I laughed. "Am I not supposed to be? A bit dark for you, Cass."
She rolled her eyes playfully. "No, sorry, I was expecting you to be out for a while longer, though. I'm glad you're conscious now."
I smiled. "Yeah... what'd I miss? Last thing I remember is opening the door in my dorm and talking to my roommate?"
My boyfriend rubbed the back of his neck. "So, uh, there's a lot to tell you, so be prepared."
---
After my friends told me what had happened when I was possessed, I went to my new dorm with my partner. She walked with me, making sure I was stable. And sure enough, everyone that was taken over by their "evil" clone or whatever was back to their normal selves. Once we got into the actual room, I shooed her off. "I'm fine, Cassandra. Really."
She pursed her lips. "Liam told me to watch over you though-"
"Yeah, sure, you can watch me while I sleep. That'll be worth your time. Totally."
She looked guilty. "I can't just leave you alone though. What if you get possessed again? Or what if you have a seizure or something?"
I scoffed. "I'm FINE, Cass! Go relax. You've had a fu- interesting day."
She twiddled her fingers. "Alright... but STAY in here. If you need something, just shout. I'll be right outside our room."
"...What is there to do outside our room?" I questioned her.
"Uh... I'll figure it out. Have fun resting!" she called as she left the door.
As soon as she closed the door, I jogged to the bathroom. I leaned over the sink, as if I were about to puke. But I wasn't. I was just exhausted, and when I learned what had happened to me when I wasn't in control of my own body, I felt disoriented. I looked into the mirror with fear, fear of what could happen to me. But nothing happened. Nothing appeared. I just looked like me.
But as I turned away to lie on my bed, I caught a flicker of red in my eye.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: So... kinda left at a cliffhanger, eh? I'm not gonna make a sequel though- So, uh, just make your own ending like if evil Nance is still in Nancy's body or not. (I like to think that she still is but doesn't come out often and that the real Nancy becomes different like more violent and stuff, but she doesn't do anything evil... or does she?? HAHA.) Okay y'all, I really hope you guys enjoyed this fic, even though this is probably my least favorite ones I've made... hehe.
