I screamed as Mr. Kent reached for my neck. I quickly ducked and slid under his legs. That left him grabbing at the air. I wasted no time. He whipped around, but I was already headed for the dorm.
I ran into my dorm and was greeted by Nancy. "Nancy! You w-w-will NOT believe what just happened!" I panted. "Mr..Mr. Kent. H-he-"
Before I finished that sentence, I got a good look at my friend. She looked like how Mr. Kent looked. "Nancy? Everything okay?"
She simply smiled creepily and brandished her claws. "There is no more Nancy, child."
I looked around for any extra weapons, but I was out of luck. So, I ran to the armory since I couldn't get my sword.
I grabbed a training blade and a shield. I turned around and Mr. Kent was standing there, his hands engulfed in flames. He blew fire in every direction. I ran to a corner and when I stopped, I smelled smoke. I looked down and saw a piece of my now frayed hair on the ground. I looked back up and evil Nancy standing in the doorway, claws outstretched. She smirked. "There is nowhere to run now, Cassandra Lemay. You will join us!"
Join them?? What kind of weird cult is this? It didn't matter. I just know that I DON'T want to be part of it. Suddenly, a guy with brown fluffy hair, who I recognized as Liam, the dude Nancy was kissing before The Trials, charged into the area. He ran to my side and brandished a wooden baseball bat. Liam stared at evil Nancy, then looked to me. "What's wrong with her?" he said in a shaky voice.
I shrugged. "I don't know. She wasn't acting like herself at all today. I have no idea what happened to her."
"Okay. Well, I'll handle Mr. Kent with my magic."
"Ooooh, you know magic? What is your element?"
"My primary element is air."
I scoffed. "The air? That's SO boring!"
He looked a bit hurt. "Boring? I'll show you how BORING it could be right now!" he objected.
He blasted a gust of wind toward Mr. Kent, and the teacher blew into a pillar, now knocked out on the floor.
"You got lucky with Kent," evil Nance screeched. "But you won't be so lucky with me!"
I turned to Liam. "You distract her while I get my sword, but don't hurt her too badly. She is still Nancy."
"Got it," Nancy's boyfriend said.
I tried to get out of the armory without Nancy noticing. Liam charged at evil Nance, swinging his baseball bat. He hit her side and she fell to the floor, but quickly got back up and slashed Liam's arm with her claws. The fluffy-haired boy shrieked and blew a strong wind toward Nance. She blew into a pillar. I took that as an opportunity to get out of there. I ran past her and swiftly went to get my sword.
I retrieved my weapon and returned to the armory. Liam was still fighting Nancy, but he was losing.
I ran to his side and slashed at Nance. Mostly just to get her to move back. I didn't want to injure her too badly. I pulled Liam aside. "We're not going to last much longer." I glanced at his arm. "And your arm is bleeding a LOT. So we need to think of a plan to hurry this up. I also have this magic sword that can absorb monsters, too."
"If only we could trap her somehow," I muttered.
Nancy's boyfriend looked at me as if I was dumb. "Your sword! It can trap people right?"
I perked up. "Yeah," I started. "Let's hope the magic didn't wear off."
I charged at evil Nance and slashed her arm before she could attack and my sword absorbed Nancy's body.
