Happy reading!!
"Don't let her watch tv for long, make sure she practices only for two hours, she likes to drink lukewarm milk before going to bed, she's allergic to foam and sprays, don't let her sleep without brushing and DON'T leave her alone with whatever her friend's name is. Call me when you reach home, call me before she goes to bed and call me the first thing in the morning. For breakfast..."
"Tine shut your husband up or I'm killing him this instant."
Wat rolled his eyes and pouted. The possessive father in him was seriously annoying, it's just that my love had made me blind. I chuckled and pinched his nose.
"He's going to die tonight anyway."
Pear coughed, "I better take Rain away before she hears her horny fathers flirting so shamelessly."
Wat covered Pear's mouth, "stop saying adult terms when she's still at home."
"Really?" I exclaimed, "says the one who gave me a handjob when she was sleeping in the next room."
Pear exclaimed, "Jeez! Spare me the details. Please."
Wat hysterically covered my mouth and I giggled, releasing small puffs of air onto his palms.
"What's a handjob daddy?"
Whoops.
Sarawat glared at me and then Pear, who was snickering mutely.
He turned around and I witnessed the smooth transition from a cocky, intimidating bastard to the softest father in the world. How would he always do that?
He smiled as carried Rain in his arms, "well, it's a job where people are supposed to use their hands to..well, do stuffs."
"That's a lie daddy!" She giggled, "it must be one of those gross things adults do."
I cast a glance at Pear, she gaped at me.
"No it's not", Wat said, still not giving up, "it's a job in which people catch lizards with their hands and they release it in houses where children talk about that job to anybody."
I shook my head in disbelief. Wat was impossible. Rain seemed like she was buying the story. For someone so smart like her, she'd easily believe any story, no matter how ridiculously illogical, as long as there was a mention of lizards. You believe in the power of things you're scared of.
She scrunched her nose in disgust, "Really?"
Wat smirked and nodded innocently, "You can ask Tine."
She looked at me for confirmation. Wat glared at me. Asshole, how to lie to an angel with such puppy eyes.
"Of course" I said, "don't worry squirrel. If a lizard comes, little Dew can protect you just the way you protect him from ghosts, right?"
She blushed. Wat frowned. Pear sighed.
"This family is crazy, Rain shall we go?"
She nodded and kissed Wat and me before landing on floor again.
"Enjoy baby girl. And don't disturb aunty Pear."
They left. Pear had offered to keep Rain at her place for a couple of days so we could have some time, just for the two of us. Besides, her music festival was on Saturday, she needed good practice in school and her fathers would only distract her, as she said to Pear. Her best friend Dew was going to practice with her at Pear's place and man, the way it was increasing Wat's blood pressure. It's not like anybody was surprised, we all knew how possessive he was of people he loved, possessive of Rain, possessive of me. He sighed as he locked the door and returned to the bed. We all were tired from the ceremony and I went to take a shower. Now that we were thinking, not a lot had changed except we had rings in our fingers that flashed each other's initials and we would live together. The love had always been the constant factor. Wat had already showered and he said he was very sleepy.
