Third Person POV

Excitedly getting out of the car, she made her way inside the mansion. She knew by now, her shopping bags would be inside her room, and no one needed her help there. She was also, so excited, to show her nails to her dad.

"Dad!" She called out in the living room, making her way towards him, who had his phone pressed on his ear, talking to someone. Turning towards his daughter, his lips automatically turned upwards as he saw her coming towards him, practically jumping on her toes. Ending the call, he placed his phone on the couch, his eyes fixed on his daughter grinning in front of him.

"Were you talking to someone? Sorry, I didn't know." Kiara said, keeping her hands behind her back

"No need to say sorry, it was nothing, sweetheart. How was your day today?" He asked softly

A smile came on her face again, as she nodded, taking a step back, she twirled in front of him, "Does anything look different?"

Chuckling softly, he took her hand and made her sit on his lap, placing a soft kiss on the side of her head, he said, "Your nails look beautiful."

"They do?" She asked, watching her nails, "I know I have a great choice." She said in a sing-song manner

---

It had been ten days since all her aunts, uncles and her mom's family came. Her dad's family also joined two days after everyone settled. Kiara didn't know how she got so lucky. All the love they were showering upon her, she didn't know if she even deserved it. Sitting on her bed with an Agatha Christie novel in her hand, her gaze was fixed at nothing in particular. Her mind was running miles, and she was still doubting herself.

She hasn't talked to Asher either. Whenever she thought about him, she felt lonely, she couldn't understand or know why. It was like all the happiness she was feeling went away in a blink of an eye. How could she do this to him? Even if leaving her was his fault, then what? How could she forget all the years she spent with his family? All the years when his family loved her like she was their own kid? How did she let all of this go in vain? Why was she so rude to Asher? How could she forget the one person who has provided her with strength and solace when she was all alone in this big world?

Her mind was going crazy, and she knew it won't settle back until she had at least talked to him once. They needed to communicate, and they needed to do it now.

But, the question was how?

She didn't have his phone number, she didn't know where he lived, how was she going to meet him then?

And when?

Well, she couldn't for a few days. There were so many family members at her place, and she was told, they came to meet her. She couldn't just leave them here and go to him. It won't be very nice on her part.

And she didn't want to leave them either. As much as she wanted to meet Asher, she didn't want to leave all of her family here. She can meet him anytime. And, Asher was Kritton's friend, wasn't he? They were working on a school project when she first met him here. That means they go to the same school. And she was going to join the same school as Kritton. Does that mean she and Asher were going to the same school? Her heart couldn't handle all the happiness, she took a pillow and squeezed it tightly as if hugging someone. If this was true, then she was so excited for it.

A few minutes passed and she kept her book on her side table, and placed two pillows near the foot of the bed. Laying on her stomach she placed her hands on the pillows and closed her eyes, trying to find a few moments of peace. From the past few days, it felt like everyone had forgotten the bedtime rule. There was not even a day that went by with all her cousins, that she slept at 10, or even at 11. They all slept till two, and some days even till three.
