[20] The Dinner

Knock knock

With a novel in one hand, and chocolate in the other, I was sitting on the hanging chair, when the sudden knock startled me.

Who could it be? It's just been twenty minutes since I came out of the shower after washing my hairs, they were still wet.

"Come in."

The gate opened, revealing both of my enthusiastic aunts. Both of them were smiling widely when they entered, which had me wondering, why were they smiling so much?

I stood up from the chair and kept the chocolate and the novel on the bedside table, before turning towards them, "what happened?"

"Kia, when will you get ready?" Aunt Nora asked looking around the room, "For the dinner?" She added, after noticing my confused gaze

I looked at the time in my phone, 5:34 p.m. I turned towards both of them, "Around 7, Alex said we'll leave around 7:30."

"What?" They both gasped, their eyes wide, "That's not enough time." Aunt Nora added, shaking her head in disbelief

"But-", " No, no buts, come we'll take some good dresses out for you. " Aunt Ada said, both of them entering the walk in closet, with me following behind them

Both of them looked around the whole closet, "where are rest of your clothes?" Aunt Nora asked, after both of them checked every cupboard, drawer and every piece of my clothing

"Rest?" I asked, "They are all in here only." I answered

Aunt Ada looked at me, then at my wardrobe, "Only this?" she said pointing towards all the clothes

"Yes. What happened?" I asked, confused with their sudden change in mood

"Did you not go for shopping Kia?" Aunt Nora asked looking around the closet

"Did the boys not take you for shopping?" Aunt Ada asked, at the same time

"They did. We went for shopping." I answered them honestly. Both of them turned towards me.

"And what all did you bring?" Aunt Nora asked

"All these clothes. Stefan and Kritton brought all of them." I said pointing to everything

"So, you don't have any other clothes?" Aunt Ada asked

I shook my head, "No. They are more than enough."

Both of my aunts were staring at me with wide eyes and their jaw open, "I can't believe this." Aunt Ada muttered

"Me neither." Aunt Nora said

"You are in a need of shopping, you have absolutely no dresses in there!" Aunt Nora exclaimed, "I would have ordered online, but it'll take at least an hour to come, and we don't have enough time. Now what will you wear at the dinner?"

"I can wear anything, it's not much big of a deal." I shrugged, still confused by their behavior

"And I have dresses, so many of them." I took out the many dresses I had and showed them, "see, they are really good."

"They are like, daily wear dresses Kia. We need something legible enough for a dinner." Aunt Nora said, making Aunt Ada nod her head in approval

"We don't have any other option." Aunt Ada sighed disappointed

"Come on, let's take out all your dresses." Aunt Nora said, coming towards me

They both took out all the dresses, which then they both took out in the room. They laid all the dresses on the bed, and now my whole bed was filled with dresses. Great. Where will I sit now?
