Third Person POV
Grayson didn't say anything further just picked the basket, "So, Guilia finally opened up the secret cabinet, huh?" He spoke to himself but Kiara straightened immediately after hearing him
"You know about it?" She leaned forward as if talking about a secret
Kritton scoffed, "Obviously, its off limits." He took Kiara's glass of lemonade, drinking the remaining half glass
"Why is it locked?" She whispered to them, still looking like it was a private conversation
"Because we're adopted," Grayson said, staring at Kiara seriously, "Dad doesn't love us."
"Really?" Her expressions fell staring at Kritton who just nodded with a tense expression on his face, "I can't believe it." she mumbled, looking between both of them, her expressions full of sorrow, as if she was caught in a dilemma
Jake pause the movie, leaning back before his eyes caught Grayson and Kritton's. As all three of them looked at Kiara, they couldn't control it as they burst into laughter. Kiara kept staring at all three of them before she rolled her eyes and leaned back, ignoring all three of them.
"It's a rule Kia," Jake said after they were done with the laughing session, "It was set in place for Grayson, Kritton and Zaydon."
"What? Why is this even a rule?"
"Exactly." Grayson nodded, "As he said, all because Dad doesn't love us enough," Kritton continued, wiping an imaginary tear
"Don't look at them," Jake said, "It's because these three would finish all those packets and then their stomach would get upset and it would lead to a few days of off from school."
"They used to eat all those packets?" Kiara asked surprised
"Yes, all in the locked cabinets." Jake said, "Then Dad asked Guilia to pick some packets of snacks out and keep everything else locked. No one can open those cabinets except her."
"Ohh." Kiara nodded, "Then why did she open it today?"
"Because you're special." David said entering the living room, his college bag hanging loosely on his shoulder. Keeping his hand in the back of her head, he pressed a kiss on her forehead, doing the same with Jake before he sat on the couch, sighing as he leaned forward taking the basket from the table, he packet out for him, throwing one at Grayson and Kritton each before keeping the basket on the table.
"Harry Potter." He hummed, "Good choice." Jake leaned forward keeping his empty glass on the table, Kiara following suit, "Do you want some?" She asked David who was sitting beside Jake
"Yeah, Orange one," He said, she leaned sideways towards him, giving him the can in his hand
"Pass me too,"
"Give."
Kritton and Grayson said in unison. It wont take a genius to guess, who said what.
Kiara nodded picking out the soda for Grayson and filling a glass for Kritton and herself. She kept her glass on the armrest, handing Kritton his glass slowly, making sure the drink won't fall. When she leaned forward again, to give Grayson his drink, Jake took it from her hands keeping a hand on her shoulder, he made her lean back on the couch, before his gaze connected with Grayson and he threw the can at him, which Grayson caught effortlessly, "Next time, ask her nicely."
"Yeah sure baby bro,"

Dinner time rolled around, and the large, luxurious living room buzzed with relaxed chatter. Jake, Kiara, Kritton, Grayson, and David were sprawled comfortably on the plush couch, snacks spread across the coffee table in front of them.
