Amber P.O.V
I Usually would've thought that the rumbling of the elevator below me would be a comforting sound, but I knew that every second spent and in it brings us closer and closer to a possible doom. I won't leave the force field. I glance over at Carly beside me, I know that this has been a lot for her, losing Toby... they were friends for as long as I can remember, which isn't very long considering Carly got to Slender before me. But still, I can only imagine. My bond with Masky was only about half as theirs, sure I cared for him but he seemed to not care less about me. Or...did he? I shake my head, now is not the time to get into all of that. We need to save them. The ding of the elevator brings my attention fully back to the moment.  We step out, the living room is empty. I suppose the other know to give us a little space. "Amber." Carly's stern voice causes me to looks at her quickly. "You better not leave that force field." This tone was usually only used when I messed up, but I can sense this time it's different.
"Of course I won't." I respond, trying my best to reassure Carly. She nods and then something odd happens. The outline of her body starts to glitch and warp, turning into green squares. She seems not to notice and turns to leave up the stairs. I hear her footsteps fade out down the hall. I move as well, sitting slightly awkwardly on the couch with its back to a window. I turn sideways so I'm resting on the armrest and back, and I can see out the window. The pinkish hue of the force field turning the sky an odd but pleasant purple. I snort, that's what a lot of things in my life can be described as, odd but pleasant. A pair of footsteps comes from the kitchen area, my ears under my beanie twitch from being kept up there so long. I don't turn my head as they enter, and I'm not sure whether or not they know I know their there. Judging my the weight of the steps, I know it's the twins. Dipper clears his throat awkwardly, they must not know after all. I finally turn to face them, forcing a smile. My usually numb, anxious  expression being hidden.
"Hello, is there something you needed you two?" My voice sounds slightly choked up, but friendly enough.
"We were wondering-" Mabel starts but Dipper quickly cuts her off
"-and sorry if this could be considered rude"
Mabel shoots a playful glare at her bother. I'm glad she's feeling better.
"We were wondering," Mabel begins again "if you have any sort of thing odd about you. After all, Carly can go into TVs!"  This questions does peak my interest, I didn't know they were interested in me.
"I do, would you like to see? It's nothing scary or dramatic though." I wave my hand slightly at the statement, out of everyone I know, my powers have to be pretty boring.
"I'm sure they're interesting." Dipper chirps up, but I know he only said that to persuade me to show them. I sigh and reach for my beanie, I guess my ears to need a break. I pull it off and the untidy balls of fluff spring up, I shake my head to put some of the fur back in place. Mabel gasps dramatically her eyes seeming to light up.
"You have fox ears!!" She says this excitedly, but I can't help but sarcastically think. 'Of course, you'd think I know,' I cringe internally, that was unnecessarily rude. I force my smile slightly bigger.
"Yep! And a tail." I stand up and pull it gently out of my shirt. It falls and curls around at the end, i'm glad they don't know what tail positions mean. Otherwise my true feeling would be revealed. Mabel dashes towards me, and I resist flinching. She reaches for my tail, then thinks better of it and asks.
"May I touch you tail?"
"Sure" I nod alongside this, looking to dipper to see his reaction. He is writing in a little book with a pen. I can see from here that the end of it has bite marks from thinking.
"Does your ears and tail give you any special abilities?" He asks finally.
"Yeah, increased strength, dexterity, hearing, and seeing in the dark." His pen scribbled faster, but I'm not done. "I have retractable claws, and can change form to have paws." I demonstrate by turning my forearms and hands into furry paws. Mabel gasps once again, her hands going from my tail to my paws.
"You have toe beans!" She once again states the obvious, but I just nod. I get my hands back, and she lets go.
"You might want to step away for this next part" I say,
"Next part?" Dipper parrots.
"Yeah, I have one more ability." His eyebrows raise slightly, and I'm almost offended. I might as well put on a show. Lighting my right hand on fire I quickly move it across my arms and chest to my left. Like a wave of fire across my body. Flexing my left, I slide out my claws, and extend them with the fire. Giving me the appearance of glowing, blazing claw hands. I move and put the hand on my face, dispersing the fire across my face. I then let it fade out, slightly smugly looking to the twins. Mabel is slack-jawed and smiling, she does a few claps. And I take a mock bow. Dipper also looks stunned, but quickly recollects himself and asks,
"How did you get these abilities?"
I sigh, I knew it was coming. I sit down, and tell them to also sit. Cutting out some of the murder and death, I give them a simple version of what happened.
(Small time jump till after the story, what happened is available on my page. Under 'Ambers Tail')
As I finish, I can tell the twins don't like what they are hearing. It wouldn't either, it's not a pleasant tale. Nether of them say anything, and I turn so I can look back out the window.
"So yeah...that's what happened." Silence.
"I've accepted that it all happened in the past, and now I've gotta live with it." I shrug "I'm more concerned about my friends right now" my time and body language don't show it, but I truly am.
"I'm sure they will be okay..." Mabel starts, Ive heard so much stuff like this before that it really doesn't work. But nonetheless I smile and thank her.
"We've defeated bill once before, we can do it again." Dipper adds on. It's nice to know that they want me to feel okay, even if their attempts aren't helping. Spending time with someone, even if it's strangers, helps.
(Minor animal hurt warning)
Then a bark catches my attention, my ears shoot up and I lean to look more out the window. Crawling towards the force field is an injured dog, their back legs clearly broken. Without thinking I jump to my feet, and turn to leave.
"H-hey!" Dipper jumps up behind me, grabbing onto my arm. "It's a trap!" He says, and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion,
"No. Let me get the dog, it's hurt!"
Now Mabel speaks
"I know, but bill has been known to do stuff like this."
"How about this, I won't leave. I'll just call the dog into the force field." I reason, growing slightly frantic at the thought of the dog dying before I can get to it. The twins glance at eachother, but I can't wait for their approval. I turn, pulling my arm form dippers grip. And before he can catch me, opening the door and rushing out. I glance back after I leave, no one followed. Probably out of fear. I speed walk over to the dog and crouch down on the ground.
"C'mere boi, I believe in you! It's not too far! Just to my arms" my true baby voice came out as I cooed to the dog, it struggled. Letting out a low whine when it saw me. I reached my arm out, fingertips brushing the ever moving force field. "Not that much farther come on!"my voice is growing desperate, pleading with the dog. But, just outside of the field. It collapses, and whines in pain. I hesitate for just a second, Carly voice ringing out in my ears,
'Don't leave the force field.'
Then fords
'Don't leave the force field.'
A second longer and my mind is made up, I lean forwards and my hands close around the dogs front legs, I go to pull backwards. When a cold hand grabs the back of my neck, buzzing with power. NO!-

it all goes dark.
