I sighed and shifted slightly in my chair, still mad at Ford for not letting the children in faster. They were almost taken! I looked to the kid sitting on the floor playing on a Gameboy. Carly was her name, Ford had gone on about some nonsense about her being a computer. But I don't care, right now just looking at her I could tell she was a child. It's boring being locked in the shack, and I know they could use a distraction. I racked my brain for something to do when I came upon a fond memory. Being taught to dive on a sketchy back street. I figure that these kids haven't been taught yet. "Hey kid, do you know how to drive?" Carly looks up "No, I can't be legally taught...for obvious reasons" "great. Let's go to the car" I stand up and Carly smiles "really?" I nod to her and we start leave when the older person with a mask speaks up. "I'm coming with." He insists, "fine" I shrug. We all enter the car and I lean over and pull out to a safe spot for Carly to start. "Alright, this is the gas. And that's all you really need to know." The person who's name I guessed to be Masky quickly interjected "and the one next to it is the break-" he didn't get to finish because Carly had slammed on the gas and shot forward. For never having learned to dive she was doing very well, I guess it's because 'shes a computer'. "Alright try to do a donut!" I encouraged and she obeyed, turning the wheel quickly.
{Time skip brought to you by: Masky actually being scared rn}
We finally pulled up and she put the car into park, "good job!" I praised as we all got out. Carly went happily back to the shack, while masky seemed to wait for her to leave. "Good job?" Masky asked now clearly angered, "Carly could've gotten hurt! I could've gotten hurt! That was reckless" he reprimanded me. "Now listen here, I would've intervened if I felt in danger. You need to loosen up a little!" I shot back. "No, you listen-"
