21 | FIRST DAY

CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

JESSICA

Who the hell is calling me so early in the morning?! I groaned when I heard my cellphone ringing. Calling people early in the morning and disturbing their sleep should be punishable! Without opening my eyes, I grabbed my phone and picked up the call.

"Good morning my sunshine" I immediately opened my eyes and literally jumped on my bed when I heard Ethan's voice on the other side of the call. All of the annoyance I felt earlier disappeared the moment I heard his voice.

"Ethan, it's you" I giggled "Good morning Mr Cheesy Pie"

"Who else do you think would wish you so sweetly apart from your Mr Cheesy pie. Hazelnut" he laughed.

"who knows? there might be someone else too" I teased him "by the way why are you awake so early in the morning?"

"Because I am going to come and pick you up for the school henceforth" he replied "before someone else does that"

"aww, someone seems jealous." I chuckled "but you know your girlfriend can go to school on her own right?"

"Yes, I know but is it wrong to pick up my girlfriend for the school if I am going to get more time to spend with her by doing that," he said innocently.

"No there is nothing wrong with that" now I was blushing and couldn't control my smile.

"By the way, did I tell you that you are looking very beautiful right now" 

"How can you say that without even looking at me" my cheeks turned completely red.

"You know, I don't need to see you to tell you how beautiful you bub"

"When did you become so cheesy Ethan" I laughed.

"Since the day I met a girl named Jessica Johnson"

"You are impossible" I chuckled "now I don't want us to be late for school, so I am hanging up the call"

"Ok, Ma'am. I will be there in an hour" he replied "Bye hazelnut, love you"

My heart skipped for a beat when he said love you. You have to get used to with this Jessica. It was all new for me. I had never been in love before Ethan. Yesterday, when he said that he loves me for the first time, I couldn't believe my ears but it didn't take me even one second to say that I love him too. It was that moment when I realized that we both indeed were meant for each other.

"I love you too Ethan. bye, see you soon" I replied and hung up the call.

A blush spread across my cheeks when I hanged up the call. I was not able to stop thinking about him. I shook my head while smiling and went to take a shower. As soon as I got ready, I directly went downstairs. My eyes widened in shock when I found Ethan having breakfast with my parents. Is he for real? I told my parents about Ethan when I got home yesterday, my mom liked Ethan since the day she met him, so it was never a problem from her side, but it was the first time he met my dad. I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Here comes my cupcake" my dad smiled while looking at me as I walked towards the dining table "I saw Ethan waiting outside his car for you when I opened the door to take the newspaper so I just invited him for the breakfast"

"Seems like your daughter didn't like me being here for breakfast" Ethan winked.

"Yes. You are right Ethan" I rolled my eyes while controlling my smile as I sat in front of Ethan.

"Kids you will be late for school, hurry and eat your breakfast" mom ordered from the kitchen.

"Yes, mom" I giggled.
