Two weeks passed and as my work was mostly in the kitchen, I never really got a chance to interact with customers but now because Aunt Jenny was sick, she was not coming today and probably for the next two or three days which meant it was my duty to attend all the customers and manage all the other work as well, fortunately, my co-worker, Chloe, was there to help me with most of my work. We decided to divide the work and I took the responsibility of attending the customers and handling the cash counter, my co-worker was given the work in Kitchen and cleaning tables and all the other small stuff.
As Uncle John was still out of town, Aunt Jenny gave me the keys of the cafe, so today as I had to open the cafe I was supposed to wake up early, which I did, thanks to Anna. I reached the cafe, my co-worker was already standing outside the cafe waiting for me, I asked her to come early so that I won't be alone in the whole cafe, I opened it and we both started doing our respective works after quickly putting on our aprons.
Slowly the customers started coming, some were regular customers which I had seen a couple of times, though I did not have any idea about their orders. For a few minutes, I decided to scroll my Instagram as there were no customers to attend, but at the exact moment a boy entered the cafe, he was busy on his phone, he seemed little sweaty, maybe he just came from the gym as he was wearing the usual gym wear and his biceps full-on show through his loose black tank top, his chocolaty brown hair was messy as if he just woke up from a nap. I must say, he was handsome like really handsome. I rarely check out any boys but this time for some reason, I couldn't take my eyes off from him and I didn't even know why! He reached the counter and looked up keeping his mobile in his jeans pocket, the moment his beautiful brown eyes met my eyes I got lost in them, they were captivating and I couldn't control myself from staring into them. He rang the counter ring twice, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Hello? Will you take my order please?" he half yelled
God! This was so embarrassing and out of my character, I quickly looked somewhere else breaking our eye contact.
"Oh, I am so sorry, please tell me what you would like to order," I asked, fixing my hairs and trying to look less embarrassed
"One black coffee, please" He replied
"Sure, please wait for few minutes here," I said politely and went to bring his order.
"Here is your order sir, come again!
"I am a regular customer, I come here every day "He replied, a faint smile lingering on his lips as he handed me the money. A guy with a cute smile! Totally my type, ha-ha! "where is Jenny, by the way, she's the one who usually takes all the orders, I've never seen you before"
"Yeah actually, she is not feeling well, so she won't be coming to the cafe for next few days" I replied "And most of my work is in the kitchen maybe that's why you have not seen me before"
"Yeah maybe, I hope Jenny gets well soon, have a good day," He said and started walking towards the exit door
"You too" I replied and found myself smiling like an idiot.
The whole day was a little hectic and I was really tired, when I reached home I didn't even bother to change my clothes, I ate my dinner and quickly went to my bedroom because I was really sleepy, but throughout the day I found myself thinking about that guy quite a few times I don't know why and the weirdest thing was whenever his thought crossed my mind I caught myself smiling. When I saw him, he was already giving me unusual vibes, good vibes to be specific. What is wrong with me?
It was not like I had seen him many times or I knew him, I had only seen him once that too for a few minutes, but then why was I thinking about him and feeling so, what could I say? Joyous maybe!
