My whole world

Chapter 1

A/N:
Alex and Kara live in midvale with their mother Eliza Danvers. Their dad isn't in the picture. Kara is 3 years younger than Alex but she is advanced so she is only one school year under Alex. She does not have any powers but she is adopted. They are 17 and 14.

General POV
Eliza goes into Karas bedroom to wake her up for school. "Good Morning baby, time to get up" she said as she kissed Kara on her forehead. "Good Morning Mom" Kara said as she stretched her arms and got out of bed. Eliza was on her way to Alex's room, but Kara quickly ran in front of her to wake her up first.

"Good Morning Alex!" Kara shouted as she busted into her big sisters room. Alex quickly woke up from the shouting. "KARAAA, you scared me. I told you not to do that anymore" she said angrily. "I'm sorry, I'm just excited about our new school!!" Kara said excitedly. Alex wasn't thrilled at all, she didn't want to be the new girl especially not in Highschool.

Alex's POV:
Kara woke me up screaming again, she's way too bubbly and happy for me. It's our first day in a new school. For some reason she's excited but who wants to be the new kid in Highschool. I love my sister but I hope she doesn't embarrass me in front of my classmates again. My sister likes to follow me around and stick next to me a lot. I just want her to fit in and be normal.

General POV
Eliza and her daughters sat on the table enjoying their breakfast. "What are you guys most looking forward to this year" Eliza asked. Kara instantly said "Everything. I want to see what it's like to be in Highschool! I get to skip freshman year for god sake! I want to see everything" Eliza gave her daughter a little laugh as she grabbed her hand and gave it a kiss.

"What about you Alex?" She asked her eldest daughter. "I'm not sure, probably the clubs they have to offer. I heard they have a great soccer team" Alex said with a smile. Eliza smiled back at her daughter. The three finished breakfast and got ready for the day.

Eliza drove the girls to school. "Bye girls, have fun today! I cant wait to hear about it. I love you" "love you too mom" both girls said as they waved her off and made their way to the school entrance.

Karas POV
Mom just dropped us off at school, I'm kinda nervous now. I have a lot of thoughts going through my head, I'm not the best with making friends. "Hey it's okay" Alex said as she grabbed my head and kissed my forehead. "What if they don't like me, who will I hang out with?" "Me you dummy. I will always be there for you! And don't worry they will like you, you're Kara Danvers!" It meant a lot to have my sister by me. I had a rough childhood before I was adopted so feeling safe in school with my sister means the world to me.

Alex and I get to the principals office so he can help us find our classrooms. The school is so big, I go to hold Alex's hand and she pulled me into her arm and whispered "it's gonna be okay I love you" in my ear. The principal Mr. Brown hands us our schedule and walks us each to our classroom. We arrived at my sisters classroom, she pulls me into a big long hug before getting in "Kara I love you, you're going to be okay. I'll meet you at lunch" "I love you too Alex" I tell her before letting her go.

Mr. Brown and I walk to my classroom and before I step inside he tells me "your mom told me a bit about you, and trust me you'll be fine. You have my biggest support, if something is wrong come find me" "thank you" I say as I step inside my classroom

On the first day, we always have a class meeting first period. My teacher Ms. Evans told me to introduce myself. "Hello my name is Kara Danvers I'm 14 years old and I just moved here from Central City with my sister and my adoptive mother" most of them stared at me, probably the fact that I am 14 in a sophomore class but I have always gotten stares because of my age and school year. I go to sit down in the back next to another empty seat.

Alex's POV
I stepped into my classroom knowing damn well my sister is terrified. I go to introduce myself "hey I'm Alex Danvers I'm 17 and I just moved here from central city" the teacher welcomes me and I go to find an empty seat. This girl motioned me to the seat next to her so I went and sat down next to her. "I'm Lois Lane and this is Kelly Olsen" I wave over to Kelly and grab my notebook out of my bag.

Lois,Kelly and I talk and grow close to each other, my teacher Ms.Peterson doesn't really mind us students talk because that's what the first class meeting is about apparently. Class is almost over and I check my schedule and notice that Lois,Kelly and I have the same classes. That's a relief. The bell rings and we make our way to Geography. We walk past Karas classroom, I look into it but I can't see her so I just follow Lois and Kelly.

As we get into the classroom Kelly and Lois introduce their friends to me "Alex these are Sara,Caitlin,Oliver and Clark" "Hey I'm Alex" I say awkwardly. I hate geography, it's so boring. After class we have a free period, finally something good, my friends want to go get drinks but I actually want to check on Kara, how do I tell them I need to check on my little sister?

Karas POV
After first period I had history, I don't like history at all. I quickly got out of the classroom to find my history class. My head was full of thoughts. I just wanted my sister. My history class was so full there were empty seats in the middle and front of the class. I usually sit in the back corner but this time I sat in the middle. I felt so uncomfortable.

My classmates stared at me the whole time. No one has talked to me yet but I could hear the whispers. I just want to go home. I can't believe I was excited, I totally forgot the awkwardness I carry.

My history teacher walks in and immediately goes onto attendance.
"Danvers, Kara Isabelle" he says "I'm here and just Kara please" I stutter, I hate when they call me by my middle name. "Okay noted, moving on" I noticed this friend group watching me. I felt uncomfortable and crouched down into my desk more.
