Chapter 11

General POV
Eliza came into Karas room to find both of her daughters still peacefully asleep. "Girls Time to wake up" she said. Both stretched their arms and got out of bed. "Good Morning" they said.

Alex immediately got ready for the day and put on her new clothes and locket. Kara on the other hand wasn't feeling very well, she didn't have much energy so she just went down and sat on the couch. Eliza prepared some breakfast like always.

While they were eating, Alex and Eliza noticed Kara not eating and looking very exhausted. "Are you okay sweetheart" Eliza asked, Kara nodded because she didn't have the energy to say anything. Both got really worried so Eliza picked her daughter up and put her on the couch with a blanket.

Alex had finished her breakfast and went to sit beside her unwell sister. "I-I'm so-sorry we...can't ha-hang out" Kara said slowly and barely understandable. "It's okay Kare bear, we have all the time we need, you just get better" her sister said as she stroked her golden hair.

Karas POV
I was so excited for today, Alex and I had planned it out so good. Of course I had to get sick today. Mom even made an appointment at the doctors, I hate going there, I like it better when they make house visits. My family helped me get ready and we drove to the doctors office.

I really didn't want to go out of the car, but my mom and my sister supported me and told me I'll be fine. Alex held my hand so tightly I couldn't even let go.

"Hello Ms. Danvers, great to see you girls again" the doctor said. He was a great friend to the family and treated me ever since I got adopted. He also knew how scared I can get when I'm here, so he usually runs the whole Plan down before starting the check up.

He finished but then he pulled Mom to the side and they talked for a good 5 minutes. "Kara sweetie I'm afraid you have to get a shot" he said, I quickly shook my head "Please No. I can't" I was terrified of needles, they tried to explain it but I wouldn't listen. Mom and Alex tried to calm me down. Alex took my hand "Hey it's just a shot, 6 seconds not longer. I will hold your hand if it makes you feel better" she comforted me. I gave in but still scared.

"Please don't let it hurt" I said. "It won't I promise you okay, just look at me and talk about something you love" Alex replied. Before I could even say anything, I was all finished. That was probably the first time I'd stayed so calm during a shot.

"All done" the doctor said. I smiled at him. "I'm so proud of you, you did so good" Eliza said as she gave me my shoes and jacket. "Here you go, the prescription for Karas meds. Make sure to take one twice a day sweetie" the doctor told me. I nodded and we made our way to the car.

Alex POV
We got home from the doctors office, and mom didn't let Kara and I go out anymore because she didn't want to risk her getting another fever, even though she only had a headache. "Girls I'm going to pick up Karas pills, stay out of trouble both of you" Mom said as she gave us each a hug and left.

"So what do you want to do" I asked my sister. "We could sneak out before mom comes back" she suggested. "No Kara, we'll get in so much trouble. I will get in so much trouble." Kare looked at me with her puppy dog eyes making me give in. "Okay fine but just the beach so it's not a long way back" I told her. We both got ready and left.

"Kara I still think this is a bad idea" I told my overly excited sister. "Alex it'll be so much fun don't worry about it." When we arrived Kara quickly took off her tank top and shorts and made her way to the water. I stayed on the beach and texted my friends.

*30 minutes later*
I see a text from mom pop up: Alex where are you??? Are you okay! "Shit!" I yell, "KARA COME ON WE NEED TO GO BACK" I grab her clothes and run over to her making her get dressed. "Mom will be so mad at us! I totally lost track of time damn it!" I say worried. "Relax Alex, mom won't be mad, nothing happened" Kara said.

We get home and see our mom furious and worried. "Mom I can explain!" she quickly interrupted me "No Alexandra I don't want to hear it" when she calls me Alexandra it means I'm in big trouble. "Kara honey go upstairs and rest" she said sweetly. I look at her confused, why was I getting in trouble and Kara wasn't? I thought to myself.

"WHY WONT YOU FOLLOW MY ORDERS ALEXANDRA" Mom yelled at me. "I'm sorry but-" "but nothing! when I tell you to stay home, you stay at home!" I look down to the ground, "I'm sorry mom, I just wanted to cheer Kara up, she had so much fun at the beach" "I don't care, what if she got dizzy and drowned! What would you have done then!" "well she didn't do why would I think about that" Mom grounded me for a week, so I went upstairs into my room angrily.
