Chapter 7

Alex's POV
My big game is today, I'm so excited but also every nervous. Mom and Kara are going to be there. I start to get ready to go to the field for warm up. First I got downstairs and ate some breakfast but before I could even sit down Kara tackled me almost to the ground "Good morning Alex! I'm so excited about today! You're going to do great" she rambled. "Haha thanks baby but I won't do so good if I get tackled to the ground" I told her and she let go

When it came to support, my sister is the number 1 supporter. She would probably scream through the whole field, I hope she doesn't because it'll be way too embarrassing. I'm glad she supports me that much though.

*Time Jump 2 hours*
The game is about to start, I'm getting kind of nervous but Maggie,Lois and the rest of the team comfort each other as we go into our positions. I go to the field and start looking for my mom and Kara but I can't see them anywhere.

Karas POV
Mom and I are on our way to Alex's soccer game, I was a little too excited that when I ran down the stairs I tripped. I'm crying I'm in so much pain. "Ow Mom!. Mommy my leg. Everything hurts ow! Please come help me!" I shout as my mom comes running towards me.

She's freaking out and I'm crying in pain, mom quickly picks me up and into the car as we drive to the hospital. I then realized we're going to miss Alex's game and that made me even more upset. "Mom what about Alex! We're missing her soccer game!" I moan in pain. "It's fine she'll understand" mom tells me.

We arrive at the hospital and I am quickly out on a gurney as they get me into another room. I am scared of hospitals, I've been in and out but this time I was extra scared because my mom couldn't hold my hand like usual. The doctors gave me pain meds and took me to get x-rays.

Luckily I only broke my leg and fractured my wrist. I don't need surgery only a cast and bandage. My mom was waiting in the other room trying to reach Alex. She's probably in the field right now. "Oh god Kara how bad is it" she said out of breath. "You're daughter is going to be fine, the fall only gave her a broken leg and a fractured wrist. She will have back pain though so just give her pain killers"

"We do have to keep you over night though because you fell head first and we just want to check if everything stays okay" the doctor said. I was not thrilled. I wanted to stay in my own bed next to my sisters room. "It's going to be fine sweetie, I will call you all the time and you can call me. Don't worry Alex and I will be here later and tomorrow morning" mom said. I nodded and gave her a hug as she made her way to pick up Alex.

General POV
Eliza drove over to Alex's game just in time. Alex comes up to her "mom where we're you and where is Kara?" she asked a little upset. "Sweetheart get in the car. Kara fell down the stairs and is in the hospital" "what! oh poor thing" Alex replied.

They arrived back at the hospital and Alex immediately ran over to giver her sister a hug "oh my, are you okay? Does it still hurt" "No it's feeling better but I'm not excited to sleep here" Kara told her concerned sister. "It's okay Kara, you're going to be fine. I love you" "I love you back." Both of the girls talk until Alex has to leave. Eliza goes to hug her daughter and kiss her forehead. Alex does the same but the hug is longer and tighter.

Kara waves goodbye and tries to get some sleep. She often has to get a nurse because she's terrified. She then woke up at 4 in the morning the hospital was really empty but one nurse noticed her and comforted her until she fell asleep every time she woke up.

The next morning Alex and Eliza find Kara sleeping peacefully in her bed. Alex goes to lie next to her and Eliza sat down on the chair next to the bed. After about 30 minutes Kara wakes up and sees her family.

"Good Morning sleepy head" Alex giggles as they both hugged each other. Eliza goes over to her hurt daughter "good morning sweetheart how was your night?" "It could've been better I guess, but nurse Jo was nice enough to stay with me all night." Eliza smiled at her two daughters, while breakfast is being delivered.

Kara eats her breakfast and the left over food from home as she watches a movie with Alex. Eliza is talking to the doctors in the mean time to get Kara set to go home.
