i suddenly awoken, jerking out of the comforts of a bed i didn't quite recognize trying to catch my breath that seemed to be all over the place

an ache began to form at the back of my head causing me to quickly place my hand over it hoping to calm it down a bit

and as soon as i did i could feel a presence in the room, i guess it was one of my new powers?

"billie?" she turned away from the bookshelf and began walking over to the bed

"you're finally awake" she smiled weakly as she sat on the bed next to me

"where am i?"

"you're in my room"

"this isn't your roo-"

"i'm raven, billie's getting taken care of by the witches. if you hadn't called me when you did she wouldn't be alive" she explained sadly grabbing onto my hand

i glanced down at our hands and pulled away, knowing that she liked me i knew i couldn't get close to her. i knew for a fact that billie wouldn't approve of it

i glanced up, "what happened? after i ..."

"well" she sighed, "after you called, my brother and i showed up and that's where the real fun began. everyone of the hybrids transitioned into werewolves and all the vampires pulled out stakes"

"how did you make it out alive?" i furrowed my eyebrows

"i'm an exceedingly vigorous vampire, don't tell billie but i let her think she's more powerful than me" she winked before pausing, "but something happened to you" her voice turning concerned

"what happened?"

"you ...died" she raised her eyebrows

"what do you mean?" i laughed dryly trying to comfort the mood because it was really strangling me like a rope was tightening around my throat forcing me to beg for air

i was dead? i couldn't be dead not if i'm still here

confusion began to dance around my brain like it usually had

she looked down at the bed for a moment before looking back up to me, "you're transitioning into a vampire"

"no, it's not possible" i whispered to myself, my heart began to come unsteady as the thought of being a vampire flooded my mind

flashes of my head cracking against the hard concrete floor began to fill my mind feeding onto the worry and fear i had already been experiencing

i shook my head trying to make the flashes go away but they wouldn't budge. i could see a puddle of blood spilling out of the crack of my skull and my lifeless body that had turned colorless

"y/n, your ears are bleeding!" raven shouted standing up from the bed but i ignored her

the flashes ceased only to be replaced with the insecurities, doubts and fear that never seemed to leave my mind

i'll be stuck in this same body immune to pain but also vulnerable to sunlight until i ceased to exist

i was immortal, i'd have to watch my family and friends die before my eyes, they'll question why i haven't been getting older but i knew i wouldn't be able to explain it to them

i'd have to keep it a secret, to protect them and even if i did tell them i knew they wouldn't believe a word i said and there wasn't an ounce in my body that told me otherwise

"you're lying!" i threw the covers off of my body and ran towards ravens bathroom to take a glance at my neck and she was right. there were two dots on my neck where the vampire stuck his fangs deep into me
