Oliver, Aurora's close friend throughout her high school years.

Also her once-boyfriend from junior to senior year.

They remained friends after their breakup, which wasn't all difficult when their former friendship caused their split.

And the long-distance they would have undergone.

She answers the phone call with a dimpled smile and brings her phone up to her ear. "Hey, Oli! How have you been?"

Spencer forms his mouth into a circle shape in realization, drawing his attention to Pumpkin who's laid out on his lap.

He hasn't had a preference for any of Aurora's boyfriends in the past for unknown reasons, but her girlfriends were acceptable.

Or maybe Spencer isn't fond of the straight-as-a-line type of guys.

Oliver barely crosses the line of acceptable, he used to be the golden boyfriend of hers, but it doesn't mean he's an exception.

"Hey, Aurora! I've been quite busy with uni, stressed as fuck, but I'm doing good. How about you? Are you liking the town?"

Aurora exhales a heavy breath, walking towards their polished kitchen for a light snack.

Fresh and sweet strawberries are her favorite.

"I'm doing good too! The town is lovely, I've met a lot of nice people but there's someone that's... Something else," she responds, a brief chuckle escaping her lips afterward.

There are several negative words in the English dictionary to describe Louis.

Rude, judgemental, vulgar, and arrogant in a way.

But she settles to define him as "something else" because those portrayals are only his exterior.

She shouldn't judge his character like Louis judges hers.

Though she does admit she doesn't like him, especially an aspect of him that creeps inside her jumbled head without realizing.

His angelic features, light and soft.

Oliver copies her chuckle over the phone. "How so?"

He's a lot.

"Not the nicest person out there," Aurora states, grabbing a strawberry from the green short stem and biting into it. "But hey, I got a cat! His name is Pumpkin and he is super sweet."

"Only you could name a pet after a food."

She can nearly hear his broad smile laced in his voice, which encourages her to smile too.

He holds a good smile.

"I'd love to meet your cat when I come to visit you in the summer... For a month, dear, I'll be there."
