I tossed and turned all night so I got up early and got dressed and went to the police station.
I talked to Officer Cells and turns out Jamie had a warrant out for his arrest for doing that type of stuff to other girls and it didn't go so good for them. One girl is even still missing.
I shudder when I think about what could have happened. I asked him not to tell my parents and leave it at that and he agreed.
I made it to work hoping that Lanie came with them but when I didn't see her I walked over to mom.
"Where is Lanie?"
"She wasn't able to get on the plane. He came back early and she can't leave now." Mom said.
"Well fuck. Maybe we should go and get her?"
"No, she said not to do anything crazy and to tell you to wait."
"She knows me well. But seriously mom if she's not back soon I will go get her. Ohh I got a text from Trace last night he said Jessa woke up."
"Oh, that's fantastic Morgan!" She said.
"Yeah, it is," I said walking over to my area taking off my backpack and jacket, and getting out my stuff to get started for the day.
📱How is Jessa?
📱Last night she was awake and talking like her old self. I'm heading back over there shortly.
📱I'm about to start tattooing just wanted to ask. Later Trace.
📱Ok, talk later. Bye Morgan.
I read his words and then put my phone down and worked on a stencil I had for later.
Ethan walked in and over to me and leaned down. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah, but I have something to tell you," I said.
"Walk out back with me?" He asked.
"Sure," I said putting my iPad down and following him out back.
"So what's up Morg?"
"I talked to Officer Cells this morning and turns out Jamie had a warrant out for his arrest for doing things to other girls who weren't as lucky as me," I whispered.
"Holy fuck!" Ethan said rubbing the back of his neck.
"I asked him not to tell my parents so don't say anything but I'm done with hooking up with strangers," I said.
"So just people you know?" He grinned.
I smacked his chest lightly. "Hush!"
He laughs as we both go back inside and get busy.
By the time work was over I decided to pick up some Chinese and go home and spent time alone and try to figure out what I'm doing with my life.
I say bye to everyone and head to the Chinese place and then home. When I got in the door Junie texted that she was coming over in a little while.
I changed clothes and then eat my food before she showed up.
"Hey girlie!" She said walking in.
"Well don't you look nice? Where are you going?" I ask.
"Bobby is taking me out to dinner." She smiles.
"Oooh, how is that going Junie?"
"Actually great thank you for introducing us. But I wanna know is what happened with Jamie?" She said.
"Girl it got crazy last night. I'm talking Jeffrey Dahmers, cousin. I felt weird so put my gun in my boot. Went to the bathroom texted Ethan the address to hurry and when I went back to the kitchen he had his shirt off and was holding handcuffs."
"What??" She asked.
I wrestled him down and cuffed him to the table chair. Called the police and he had a warrant for his arrest for doing things to other girls that weren't so lucky. So I'm not sure what that means and I didn't ask but one girl is still missing." I said.
"Holy shit!" Junie said.
"Yeah, I'm done sleeping around with strangers. I'm just going to become a nun and be done with it." I said.
"Now I know your full of shit." She laughed.
"On a positive note I talked to Trace and his sister woke up last night," I said.
"Wow, that's great. Have you forgiven him yet?" She asked.
"I'm not sure yet but I'm going to try and work on it," I said.
"Well, I wanted to see how you were. I had no idea what was going on. I'm glad you are ok Morgan."
"Yeah, last night was an eye-opener for me for sure." I sighed.
"I hope so. Work on that forgiveness and get your man back. You have been a mess since you came back." She said hugging me.
"Yeah, your right Junie and always my voice of reason. Have a great date with Bobby! I love you." I said.
"Love you too! Nite Morgan." She said heading out the door.
I lock the door behind her and decide to shower and try to contact Lanie.
Once out of the shower I put Trace's shirt on and got in bed and grabbed my phone.
📱Hey Lanie! Just wanted to catch up. Text or call me when you can! Love ya!
In case her boyfriend sees the text he won't think anything of it.
I scroll through Facebook aimlessly and then get sleepy. Right as I lay my phone on the pillow next to me it beeps.
I grab my phone thinking it's Lanie but it was Trace.
📱I know I shouldn't say this but I miss the hell out of you Morgan.
📱I miss you too Trace. More than I care to admit. Goodnight.

I put the phone down and cry. I'm such a mess. How can life be like this already and I'm just in my twenty's ? I thought being wild and never settling down and sleeping with different guys was fun and that's what I wanted.
But now I know that's not what I want. I miss Trace and I only want to be with him.
