The next morning I got up early and started packing up my stuff. I knew Ethan and DJ were coming early to help me get everything to my new place.
I think living across the hall from Trace is going to be fun. We can hang out and I really hope we can fuck around.
I didn't want to do that with Ethan knowing that I would have to face them daily but Trace I really don't care.
There was a light knock on my door. "Morgan do you need any help?" Mom asked.
"Yeah, you can pack my clothes from the closet if you want." I smile.
"So your dad tells me that your neighbor is Trace." She smiled.
"Yeah he's nice and we shared a pizza last night before I came home."
"You didn't sleep with him did you?" She asked.
"Not yet," I smirk.
"Morgan Winter Ryan!" She said sternly.
"Drop the act mom I know you want to laugh." I giggle.
"Fine but don't let your dad hear you. Morgan, I've only ever been with two men and you are just everywhere." She said.
"Times are different now mom and I need to try them all out before I decide which one I want." I laugh.
"Have you done anything with Ethan or DJ?" She asked.
"I kissed them both on my birthday but that's it... For now."
"Morgan don't hurt DJ he's always been in love with you and well Ethan he just wants a taste is all."
I laugh... "Mom!"
My mom is my best friend and she's so easy to talk to and she doesn't judge me. She says she lives through me but just don't get any diseases.
We are still packing when Ethan and DJ walk into my room. "Hey, guys!" I smile.
"Morning! Can we start carrying stuff down?" Ethan asked.
"Sure knock yourself out." I smile.
I watch them walk out of the room and then look over at mom... "Are you sure I can't do them both at the same time?"
"Morgan!" She laughed.
"If I do I'll tell you." I laugh.
Dad walks into the room... "Morgan, what are you up to?"
"Why do I have to be up to something dad? I know I'm not your precious Lanie but damn."
"Morgan you know that's not true." He said.
"Oh really? Well, where is she then? She was supposed to come for my birthday what happened?" I asked.
"She said her boyfriend and she fought and he said if she came here he would break up with her." Mom said.
"That's such bullshit. I mean she's many miles away in California and she never comes home because of the surfer boy who doesn't have brains?" I sigh.
"Morgan be nice your sister I guess loves him and feels he's important," Dad said.
"Yeah more important than any of us. Anyways I'm done with this conversation because I need to get this cleaned up so I can move out." I said.
I listened as mom and dad continued to talk about Lanie but I didn't want to hear it. In fact, I didn't care if I ever saw her again. She gets on my nerves.
By the time I packed up my last box Ethan appeared back in my room. "Are you ok Morg?"
"Yeah... No, I mean it's always poor Lanie. I can't wait to get out of here."
"I can help you christen your room." He smirked.
"Oh, I'm sure you would like that." I laugh and lightly punch him in the arm.
"Did you sleep with Trace?" He asked.
"Ethan would you jealous if I said I did?"
"Well yeah probably. You sleep with everyone but me."
"That's because I don't want to ruin our friendship but I do enjoy flirting with you." I smile picking up another box.
"I want you to ruin it." He said following me down the steps.
"Hey, Morgan wait will you?" Dad said.
"Sure... Umm Ethan, I'll be right out."
"I don't want you mad at me or think I care for your sister more than you that's not the case at all. Lanie is just sensitive where you don't take any shit off of anyone and I'm really proud of you." He said.
"Thanks, dad, and I know I just get tired of you guys always sticking up for her. Maybe creating a little space will be good for us." I said.
"I love you Morgan and yeah hopefully. You still have to put up with me at work." He smirked.
"Bye, dad I love you!"
"Love you too my little wild child." He said.
I put the last box in Ethan's truck and jumped on my bike and followed Ethan.
We pull up at the apartment building and I see Trace right away at the back of his Uhaul.
"Hey Trace!" I smile.
"Hey, Morgan! What's up?"
"Ethan and I brought some of my stuff to carry up."
"Moving is for the birds. This fuckin sucks." He laughs.
"We will help you if you help us." I smile.
"I never agreed," Ethan said.
"You can go back home and I'll help Trace," I smirked.
"No, I will be glad to help." He said rolling his eyes.
We carried my stuff up and placed it on my living room floor and then we helped Trace carry stuff up when Ethan said he will go back to my parent's house and get the rest of my boxes and come back.
I smiled over at Trace... "I guess I am staying to help you and then you can help me."
"Deal... We make lots of deals in the last couple of days." He chuckled.
We carried box after box and when we were in the back of the Uhaul grabbing more boxes someone hollered at Trace and when I turned around I saw Shawn.
"Oh Hi Morgan." He said.
"Shawn," I said coldly and walked out of the Uhaul and back toward the elevator.
