Jackie didn't understand. She didn't understand how Brita and Aiden could be heard constantly yelling that they hated eachother at the top of their voices at all hours of the day and yet could be heard at 3am doing things that Jackie didn't even want to begin to describe- oh how much she despised sharing a space with them whenever their entire group was together.

However both Aiden and Brita denied what they did. Both got equally defensive when asked, however Aiden always seemed to storm off in annoyance to then be promptly followed by Heidi who'd tried to calm her down in desperation.

Brita on the other hand stayed quiet. Again this confused Jackie endless amounts. Even when asked if she was okay, she simply shrugged wordlessly and looked back down at her phone. It was odd.

It had gotten even weirder in the past few weeks, where Aiden and Brita seemed to have stopped communicating almost altogether. And, if they talked to eachother at all, it was short.

"So!" Crystal began one day, when everyone was sat together in the living room in Aiden and Heidi's apartment (however at this point, pretty much everyone lived in it almost full time). "How is everyone doing?" The room sat in silence, which was quickly broken by Jan.

"Well from the sounds of it Aiden and Brita both seem to be doing amazing! Don't you both think so?" Everyone turned to look at Brita and Aiden, with Brita flushing red almost immediately yet remaining silent.

"What?" Aiden stared directly at Jan, her eyes growing cold very quickly. However the younger girl seemed unfazed by her reaction and continued on, also not seeming to notice how Jackie was gesturing wildly for her to stop talking.

"Surely you know! It's when you two fuck at two in the morning and think that none of us will realise!" She smiled at the pair, whilst Jackie and Heidi both groaned internally. "And you yell at eachother all the time, but that just seems to be forgotten when you two get in bed together! None of us are blind, Aiden." Brita seemed to sink further and further into her chair, looking between Aiden and Jan anxiously.

There was silence momentarily.

Then everything seemed to happen at once.

Aiden quickly got up and, before Heidi could pull her back, she shoved Jan down onto the floor and started hitting the smaller girl in what seemed like pure anger at what had just been said. Jan herself squealed loudly and hit back at Aiden.

Brita and Jackie quickly prised the pair apart, with Brita taking Aiden into her room whilst Jackie pulled Jan back up onto the sofa.

"What in fuck's name did you do that for?!" Jackie scolded as she stood back, folding her arms across her chest. "Come on Jan!"

"I was just curious! I didn't think she'd react like a wild cat when I said that!" Jan pouted before huffing and looking around at the others. "You can't tell me I was in the wrong here!" Jaida and Crystal both shook their heads.

"You don't know what's happening with them!" Heidi sighed in exasperation. "That's like me asking you and Jackie about what you two do at night!" There was a shocked squeak from Jackie. "Exactly! You'd react like what Aiden just did."

"-You can't tell me I shouldn't have done that Brita!" Aiden groaned as she lay back on the bed. "She was being annoying."

"That doesn't warrant you attacking the girl like a rabid animal." Brita retorted. "She didn't mean any harm by that!"

"And you clearly didn't mean any harm in getting off with Nicky!" Aiden snapped. She stopped as she realised what she said and a light blush covered her face. "I-I didn't mean that Brita-" Brita shook her head silently and turned around, walking out of the room and leaving Aiden alone.
