rain- Jan x Season 12 girls

prompt from @/jaidasgoode 's twitter! "The weather forecast is sunny, but at around noon we will experience some RAIN. Jackie: someone grab jan, like right now someone hold her back." they're all in drag, female pronouns and drag names are in use! (obviously excluding sherry as i don't want that in my oneshots ta).

The girls were sat in Jaida's living room one morning, all in their drag and relaxing. They'd had an agreement that every once in a while they'd stay at one of their houses for 2-3 day. Seeing as she'd just become the winner of their season, Jaida had suggested that they all stay at hers in celebration. All of them had gladly accepted, which lead to  most them all now sitting there, talking about the past few months. Quarantine had just been lifted for them all which meant they could stay safely- however Jan hadn't arrived yet. This wasn't really surprising to any of them, since she was normally the last one to arrive to all of their press events they'd been to before coronavirus had struck.

"Does anyone know where Jan is?" Jackie asked, as she scrolled through fellow Drag Race girls'  Instagram pages. "I mean, she's normally late but never this late."

"She's probably tweeting about Ariana Grande or some shit girl, like always." Dahlia rolled her eyes, whilst the other girls quietly agreed. Even whilst they were filming the show, Jan would never stop talking about Lady Gaga and Ariana. Adding to that, her bubbly mood was ongoing 24/7  meaning her excitement was always made 100x better (or worse, depending how you look at it). 

"She could be trapped by a spider web from listening to Chromatica?" Rock suggested, smiling happily. This was met with by silence from the others as they all turned to look at her.

"Sometimes I really do worry about you bitch." Widow laughed nervously, pushing her in a playful manner. 

"If she comes in talking about how Gaga's album is the best album she's ever made I swear to god I'm going to hurl Crystal at her." Gigi muttered as she put her head on Crystal's shoulder.

"Chile you're not breaking anything in my house!" Jaida shouted, smiling. Before Gigi could retaliate, there was a loud knocking at the door. "Oh here she is." She got up and opened the door, to see Jan standing there grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Hey bitch, come in! We're all here!" Jan rushed past her, holding numerous bags and belongings. Jaida nodded a greeting at EJ, who had obviously driven Jan, before shutting the door and walking after her. 

"Hi you guys! I'm so glad everyone is here! Sorry I was late, I couldn't find my dress then my makeup went wild, cried over Gaga again but anyway I'm here now! How is everyone doing?" Jan said all this in one breath, leaving all the other girls speechless. 

"You just spoke more than Aiden ever did during her time on the show ma chérie." Nicky commented, pulling Jan down next to her. The room exploded with laughter as Aiden covered her face with a cushion and coloured red, whilst Heidi giggled hysterically and Jaida grinned. "Sorry Aiden. Music anyone?" Brita leaned forward and put Jaida's radio in the corner on, seeing as it was the only way to play any sort of music without disagreements from the others.  They all quietened down, with Heidi letting out the small giggle every now and then. When it rolled around to 11am, the hourly news came on and Jackie perked up to listen- she'd been listening for news about protests which had been going on for the past week.

"The weather forecast is sunny, but around noon we will experience some rain. I'm..." The radio host announced, and everyone immediately turned to Jan who'd jumped up excitedly.

"Someone grab Jan, like right now someone hold her back!" Jackie yelled, but before Nicky could hold her down Jan had already ran out the room and grabbed her speaker which she'd brought, plugging her phone into it. 

"While you're there, can you play Harry Styles-" Crystal piped up, before getting shouted down by the other queens in the room.

"Oh my lord I'm going to go and jump off a bridge." Aiden yelled, clamping her hands over her ears as Rain On Me blared out of the speaker. Jan started yelling the lyrics, jumping around the room in pure happiness. However, everyone else had different reactions to her. Heidi, Crystal, Nicky, Rock and Brita were cheering her on, Jaida and Gigi stared in pure shock and everyone else were throwing various items at Jan in order to get her to be quiet. 

"I...I think we're witnessing her having a moment." Gigi said quietly, mouth open wide as she still stared at the queen. 

"It's great! Go Jan!" Brita yelled, clapping her hands along with the music. Jaida shook her head and smiled at the scene. They were happy.
