jinkx works in a library, dela is a teen looking for someone to talk to her about books and help her find some new ones. they get friendly and it's just sweet!! cis women au, jinkx is like 25 and dela is 15? winter

As the door was opened, the quiet tinkle of a bell rang out. Gently the door was shut to block out the chilling air from outside. Dela wrapped her coat around her and walked through the entrance of the library. She could hear quiet murmurs as she moved, which gradually got louder and louder as she continued through the hall. There was a stack of books in the corner which the teenager gravitated towards immediately. 

"Oh I've read most of these..." She muttered, flicking through the books and their blurbs. They were all books she'd read previously, some were good however some were not the best. After a few minutes she put the books she'd been holding down and went to take a step back, when she felt a heavy hand on her shoulder.

"'Scuse me darling, you okay there?" Dela's mouth fell open as she stared at the woman who'd spoke. She had ginger hair thrown up in a messy bun, friendly, warm eyes, with glasses resting on top of her nose and a comforting face. She had a black shawl draped around her shoulders and a long dress which reached her ankles.

"O-Oh yeah I'm f-fine thanks. Just looking for a b-book." Dela stuttered, "I'm sorry if I've disturbed you." The woman let out a laugh and looked down at the teenager. 

"Honey it's fine, I work here as a librarian. I can help if you like, as that's my job?" 

"Yeah please, I've read all these." Dela gestured towards the pile of books she'd just been looking through, causing the librarian to raise an eyebrow.

"Quite the bookworm aren't you? Come on, Dela isn't it?"

"How did you know?!" Dela asked, shocked at the librarian knowing her name since she hadn't even met her before.

"I know everyone's name sweetheart, and I'm Jinkx but you can call me Miss Monsoon." Winking, she walked towards the front desk and picked up a small notebook. Jinkx stood there for a minute or so, flicking through the thin pages until she stopped and grinned triumphantly. "You seem like the type of girl interested in romance, hm?" Dela nodded, leading to Jinkx ripping out a sheet of paper and passing it to her. "Here, a list of books which I enjoy. They're in the section over there." She nodded towards the back of the library.

"Thanks!" Dela grinned, rushing over to the section excitedly. Jinkx settled herself back behind the desk again, picking up a novel and resuming her reading. Half an hour later, she headed over to the area to find the teenager curled up with a book on her lap. 

"Oi madam,  you comfortable there?" Jinkx laughed lightly, sitting down next to her. 

"Yeah, these are amazing!" Dela grinned widely. "Can I take out some of these? I have my card in my bag." 

"Of course, bring the books you want to the front desk and I'll check them out for you." Dela jumped up, grabbing her books and going up to the front desk, Jinkx following behind her. Jinkx walked behind the desk and scanned the books through before passing the books back to her. 

"Again, thank you, this means the world honestly!"

"No problem! We have a book group here every Wednesday, teens and up. You wanna join?" Jinkx asked, smiling at her.

"I'd love to. I think I need to go, but thank you again!" Dela grinned and waved before walking out, clutching the books to her chest.
