Chapter 4

It was Rose's first day working at the bar. She was nervous, but also excited. She wore a floral Bardot crop top and short blue denim shorts. She put her hair in a half-up bun. She did her makeup and put on a little eyeliner. She wore her chuck tailors

She wrote Gemma a note saying she's at work, grabbed her bag and left.

She walked down the street with her bag on her shoulder. ''Hey, dollface'' she jumped. There was Ace, right behind her

''Don't do that again'' she said

''Do what'' he asked as he licked his lips, seductively and he looked down. He slowly walked towards her till she was against the wall. He placed his arm next to her head

Rose looked up. He leaned down, his lips nearly touching hers. She smirked. ''What are you doin' today doll'' he asked

''First day at Irby's''

He looked at her up and down ''Looks like you'll be serving me'' he leaned in even more

''Keep it in your pants'' she giggled and gently pushed him away

He growled ''Such a fuckin' tease'' he thought

''You should come in later. My shift ends at six'' she walked away

''Hey Irby'' she smiled and hung her bag on a coat hanger

''Hey Rose'' he replied '' Remember to check ID's and clean the glasses and I do not want to come back to this place in a state'' he said seriously

''Will do and don't worry I got this'' she said as he walked out to his car.

She was polishing a glass but was interrupted by Ace and his crew.

''Hey Rose'' Eyeball said as they sat round the bar

''Hey guys'' she replied ''What can I get you's''

''A crate of beer'' Billy said

''Make it two'' Ace smirked

She nodded and bent over to get the crates from the bottom of the bar. She felt four pairs of eyes looking at her ass. She smirked when she put the crates on the side. ''Keep your eyes to yourself'' she smirked

''Not my fault I couldn't resist'' Ace smirked

''Well your gonna have to'' She smiled ''Can I meet you guys after my shift. I might be able to bring some drinks too''

''You don't need to ask dollface'' the boys looked at him shocked. They've never seen him be so nice to a girl before

''Thanks, Ace. That's 20 dollars''

''C'mon give us a friend discount'' Billy said

''I knocked 5 dollars off'' Rose laughed

They smiled and gave her the money ''See you guys later'' she said as they walked out. Except for Ace

''What's up'' she asked

''If Thomas comes and does anything. You better tell me''

''I can handle myself'' she replied

''I'm not saying you can't'' He leaned on the bar with his elbows ''But you wouldn't stand a chance against him. So you better tell me if he comes''

Rose nodded in defeat. She knew he was right. ''Fine'' she said

He nodded and got up. Before he was going to leave Rose got the courage to thank him

''Ace'' he turned around and looked at her

''Thanks'' she smiled

He nodded ''Anything for you dollface'' he smirked and walked out

'Anything' she thought.

After 3 hours of working on her own, Gemma marched into the bar. She was pissed off

''Gemma, what's up'' Rose asked and pulled her in for a hug

''I got fired'' She yelled

''Why'' Rose asked as she took Gemma behind the bar

''This bitch took the piss outta me because of my makeup so I punched her. She got away with it but not me'' she said as she helped herself to vodka

Rose took the vodka off her ''Of course you did'' she mumbled ''You are beautiful and your unique. Don't let some slut ruin your day'' she said

Gemma hugged her tightly ''It's not fair how everyone likes you and they all hate me'' she cried

Rose rubbed her back ''Gemma, no one hates you. If anything their jealous'' she said. She pulled away from the hug ''How about you ask to work here with me. It's easy to get in all you have to do is make a cocktail, let Irby taste it and then you in'' she smiled

Gemma smiled back ''I honestly don't know where I'd be without you, you know''

Rose rolled her eyes playfully ''No! I mean it. Your the nicest person I've ever known. I'm so lucky to call you my best mate''

Rose hugged her again ''Same here''

After cheering Gemma up, who was now playing pool, her shift was over. She grabbed her bag and discreetly put in a bottle of vodka and waved at Gemma and walked to Eyeballs.

''Hey, Rose! Just the girl we wanted to see'' Eyeball said

''hey,'' she replied and unzipped her bag. She took out the vodka and slipped it into Ace's hands ''For you'' she winked

''Did you guys save me a beer'' she turned to the boys

''Sure did'' Billy handed it to her.

''Thanks, Bill'' she smiled and opened it and took a swig

The boys were laughing and joking with Rose. She looked at Ace's hands. She frowned. His knuckles were all scratched, bruised and bloody. She sat next to him and took one of his hands. He looked at her. A bit startled but soon relaxed

''What happened'' She asked

''The usual'' he replied while smoking his cigarette. She knew he meant fights

''I'll be back in a minute'' she said loud enough so the other boys could hear.

She quickly walked into the convenience store and bought some rubbing alcohol and bandages and a Pepsi. She paid and quickly walked back

''Where did you go'' Vince asked

''To get some Pepsi'' she replied and sat on her knees next to Ace. When the boys were distracted again, she took Ace's hand and started to patch him up

He looked up at her ''You don't have to do that you know'' he said while he took a swig of vodka

Rose looked at him ''I do. Get used to it'' she smiled.

Once she finished patching him up, she jumped off the trailer ''Anyone else needs patching up?''

''Nope'' Eyeball said

Billy shook his head

Vince ignored her '' She sat next to him

''Gimme your hand'' he reluctantly gave her it and she patched him up. ''That hurts' he hissed

''No shit sherlock'' she said ''There. That wasn't so hard now, wasn't it?''

He ignored her. ''Your welcome'' she smiled

She got up and went to Ace's car. She opened the door and put the rubbing alcohol and the rest of the bandages in the store box

''In case one of you ass hats get hurt'' she said

''Why would you care'' Eyeball asked

Rose sat down on the trailer while sipping her beer ''because you're my friends, ass hat''
