Turns out I'm incapable of taking naps. When five minutes turns to ten and ten to twenty and then all of a sudden twelve hours have passed and you're waking up just in time for breakfast at a new boarding school for delinquents. Who would've thought?
The screeching of the bell was like a demon in my ear, personally yelling at me to get up and stop being a lazy bitch.
A groan escaped me as I plummeted to the floor. "Ouch."
I stayed on the floor for an embarrassing amount of time before I got over myself and scrambled to my feet. My sheets laying in disarray by my feet but I made no move to tidy them as I strolled leisurely towards my bathroom in need of a shower.
By the time I left the dorm room I was forty minutes late to my first class. Not too shabby compared to my track record.
The first hour of my school torture was to be spent learning English literature. Yay me. Just what I need as soon as I wake up.
The classroom was easy enough to find and I was preparing myself to make a grand entrance, just as my hand grazed the door handle, the door swung open at full force revealing none other than Olly.
His face was red and I couldn't tell if he'd just run a marathon or been thoroughly wound up.
He looked utterly shocked when his eyes met mine before he grinned, "Hey bestie!"
"Olly, my pal. Fancy seein' you here."
From behind him I saw the other students desperately trying to catch a glimpse of the owner of the new voice.
"Well, lessons are mandatory believe it or not Des." He chuckled.
"Yeah yeah. If they're so mandatory, how come your ditching right now, huh?" I prodded his side playfully as he rolled his eyes.
"Take one look at this class and tell me what you don't see." He stepped aside giving me a full view at the room.
My eyes scanned the room which was filled with students who looked nothing less than typical troublemakers, at the front of the room stood a teacher who looked as though she was about to explode at the ongoing interruption. Looks like a pretty normal room to me.
"Hm." I hummed in thought, "There's no pizza?" I guessed with a shrug.
"Guess again."
"There's no me?"
He beamed, "I was ditching because the only people who I actually talk to aren't in this class."
"Ah, globe and Demi." I nodded in understanding.
"Demi?" He wheezed, "He's gonna kill you if he hears you calling him that, my friend."
"Excuse me Oliver and Miss whoever you are. You have been interrupting my class for over three minutes. Either take your seats or go straight to the principles office!" The teacher burst out in a fit of rage.
"Whatever whatever," I waved her off dismissively, "You skipping?"
Olly shook his head, "Not anymore. This class just got a whole lot more interesting." He smiled and lead me into the room.
I turned to face the class who's eyes were focused on me, "I'm Desponia Grey. I would say nice to meet you all but let's be honest the pleasures all yours." The simultaneous eye rolls of my new classmates made me smile as I turned to the teacher, "Take a chill pill, girly, anger is not a good look on you."
Her glare burned into my gaze but I only smirked and then turned to the seat beside Olly.
"It's too early for this, Olly." I mumbled through a yawn.
